Translates:

The Tunisian international, Ammar Jemal, would be to finalize his transfer to the English divisional team, FC Southampton. Pending a work permit, the latter just satisfy the medical.

After a first season quite successful with the Young Boys of Berne, the former resident of Etoile Sportive de Sahel did not fail to enter into an arm of the iron with his club to leave the Switzerland for a new experience.

He eventually, probably, succeed and seems more than ever ready a new English adventure. Ammar Jemal will not feel in the "Saints", since it will be his former teammate in selection Radhi Jaidi.

Note finally that the start of the Championship # English 2nd division # is scheduled for this weekend. For his entry in the running, Southampton will face Leeds United.

slightly better translation to the French artcile

Cheers mate, good old Bing translate! My French was never my strong point!

The title of this thread implies that the transfer is finalised - done and dusted... How do you get this from the link you've posted???

All it says is what we've heard already from other sources - Jemal is ON THE POINT of signing, subject to work permit.

Nothing new, I'm afraid.

Those other sources being the Echo and that rubbish football rumours website, hmm...

but its on the internet, it MUST be true.

and once the work experience nipper at the Echo (the only one there who can use google) has copied and pasted the story to one of the senior football reporters there, who will then post it under his name in the paper or online... it's a iron-clad guaranteed fact.

If it's happening today, NC wont let this be officially announced until as late as possible because then the Echo can't get the story in their last edition of the day!

wtf DID happen to yahia? dont remember him even playing more than 1 game did he?
from the videos iv seen (yes i know its hard to judge) he at least looks decent this kid.

as usual we will see when on the OS. but if so it does make sense as to why it took so long what with a work permit issue.

I think we will sign one more player before friday night, but I dont think it will be this Jemal guy or the CB from QPR.

This hanging around full of expectancy just gets you doesn't it.................They'll tell me they've signed Cork next........

He never played a first team game for us, plays for Lens in France now.

This story tells us nothing new. Last we heard Jamel was a done deal bar a work permit - which is what this story essentially says.
