We've found our level

I don't expect us to be relegated from the Championship, but neither do I expect us to be promoted.

This is it, boys and girls, and it could be a lot worse.
I've seen nothing in this division to be scared of.
We could and should have bought more quality in but slutsky clearly isn't getting the best out of this team.

There's no such thing as a club's level. That idea is elitist bollocks. Bournemouth and Burnley have done well in the PL on merit and so did we in recent years. No reason we couldn't be there again.

I think if I'm reading it right Polly meant position in terms of squad depth and quality. I tend to agree with Polly, scoring isn't an issue, for a change. It seems however defensively we are a complete shambles.

I think you are bang on here.!!
We've had a great decade but we are back to what our history as generally been.
Namely the 5th best team in Yorkshire.
I don't see top flite football anytime in the next few years.

Sorry can't agree. We'll get promoted again at some point, and probably come down again soon afterwards. There is no consistency in the bottom half of the PL and the Championship these days, anybody can go up or down. Just look at who's gone up recently. Us, Burnley, Brighton, Huddersfield, Blackpool, Bournemouth. None of them are fancied clubs and we can be better than any of them, just not this season and maybe next.

I disagree. If certain things had gone our way (and they should and could have done) it would be reasonable to hope we would still be up there. It all rests on how ambitious any new owners are. We've done it twice now, so why can't we do it again?

As someone said to me last night.. We're four players off been contenders.
I personally think that's been over optimistic....
Of the 14 from last night...I'd keep Macca, Bowen and Campbell, Irvine and Clarke at a push..I haven't seen enough of Toral to form an opinion.

We're not great at the moment but the home games have been entertaining. More enjoyable than the turgid **** served up before Christmas last year. Football like life is full of ups and downs. We'll bounce back when the ****s have gone

I wish I shared your optimism Plum.

Polly might have been more accurate if he had said we have found our current level. It's a shifting thing. Whereas sheffield united have positive momentum, ours is in reverse. The club is being dismantled. There's nothing there.

My fear with the two Dunces in charge, is that next season will be similar to this. Players sold (Bowen most obviously, and anyone else we can get a fee for), players out of contract leaving (Hernandez?), and loan players back to their parent clubs.

Slutsky will probably be gone - pushed by Ehab, or simply so ****ed off with it all.

The Allams aren't going anywhere soon. As long as they stay here, the club will spiral downwards.

There's plenty of reasons.

It's a boneheaded hurdle called the Allams Kempton.
