MATCH PREVIEW: WEST HAM UNITED V QPR

HARRY Redknapp takes his QPR side to Upton Park today, as the R’s boss comes up against another of his former clubs in the Barclays Premier League.

Redknapp will be hoping it’s a case of third time lucky this weekend, having already seen his Rangers side succumb to defeats at Spurs, Man Utd and Southampton this term.

The R’s gaffer will be encouraged by his side’s improved showing at St Mary’s last Saturday, where – despite going down to a 2-1 defeat – the Hoops produced their best football on the road so far this season, with Charlie Austin’s stunning individual goal the undoubted highlight.

But Rangers need points following three pointless returns away from home and the Hoops could be boosted by the returns of Sandro and Jordon Mutch for the trip to East London.

Sandro is expected to return after sustaining a head injury in the defeat to Saints, whilst Mutch – who missed last weekend’s game with a hamstring injury – could also be in contention.

Skipper Joey Barton remains a doubt with the hamstring injury he picked up versus Stoke City a fortnight ago.

The Hammers, as always at Upton Park, will provide a tough test for the travelling R’s.

Despite defeats to Spurs and Southampton at home, Sam Allardyce’s side have beaten Liverpool in the league on their own patch, and gained a confidence-boosting win on their travels at Crystal Palace. They currently sit in 13th spot, three points ahead of the R’s in 18th.

The Irons will be minus injured quartet Mark Noble, Cheikhou Kouyate, Andy Carroll and Joey O'Brien, whilst Guy Demel is a doubt after limping out of training earlier this week.

Pre Match Talk

To be honest, any pre-match talk is really boring. I doubt that anyone reads the words anyway. The talking should be done on the pitch. Not in the programme notes or elsewhere before the game.

most of our "celebrity" fans do seem to be blokes
maybe we could have a picture of one of there celeb fans and then a picture of a celebrity we wish supported us

I would go as far as to say that we NEED to win today (although a point would get us off the bottom). Otherwise, we will be chasing teams while under pressure that we might not be able to handle.

I've already done Wendy James, and most of the other QPR female fans. We'll just have to make do with the opposition hotties as I've exhausted our lot. Not that there are many to choose from. If anyone knows of any more for future posts then please PM me.

Do I count as a celebrity fan....I appeared on Saturday night TV....on "Pets win Prizes" with ChrisP duck. Both ChrisP and I are females and we are both QPR fans.........ChrisP is happy to appear naked too...I am not!!

That makes you as much a celebrity Beth as most that carry that description!

I think I require more medication.

Whisper it, but I have a real gut feeling that we will not be bottom of the table come tonight. In fact, I don't think we will even be in the bottom three!

All logic dictates otherwise & we may lose by five, but this is one of those rare days that I am confident!

Well we'll know at 1.45.
If Everton get a point at ManU we can get out of the bottom three if we beat West Ham by 8 clear goals.
Not impossible but worth a £10 bet...🙊
