Confirmed that Barnes, Meite and Zuiverloon have all been released.

Are any of the them worth a shot in your eyes? Meite and Zuiverloon might act as RB cover for Rosie?
 
What the hell happened to Barnes? Wasn't he supposed to be a future star?

He's only 22 so maybe he's worth a trial.
 
He spent a season on loan at Fulham from Derby and never played a game, then 22 league appearances for WBA, 14 this season?

I think players sometimes move too early and don't get enough game time to progress. :/
 
Barnes has been wasted at West Brom, he's barely been in the team, he'll have no trouble finding another club.

Meite is ****ing useless.

Zuiverloon is a decent player, but he's too good to bring in as cover(the wage he'd command could only be spent on a starter).
 
More interested in Blackpools released list, a certain Marlon Harewood has been released. Butter option then Howard and Adebola, wage shouldnt be too bad, Blackpool refused to pay any player more then £10k I seem to recall.

Giles would be a good acquisition by the way!
 
I dont TJ, I have it on very good authority that Hobbs is on over £9k a week at Leicester, for a player of Harewoods ability sure could raise the £10k or so. Harewood and Fryatt, with Simpson off the bench wouldnt be too bad
 
Someone of Marlon Harewood's ability? Really?

Steve Howard is a far better option, in the sense him and Fryatt would do a job for us and get us plenty of goals, Howard on a one year deal on low wages i would be happy with. Harewood is highly unlikely going to provide anything better than Howard will want at least double wages and will want far longer than a two year deal.
 
Said it before said it again.. Giles Barnes is a very talented fella.. snap him up if he shows the remotest interest Nigel..
 
Andy Reid would keep the physios busy, ditto for Barnes based on recent times

Reid would be a fantastic acquisition (better than Danns & Norris). However, fitness is admittedly a concern, however if playing week in week out would surely lose some timber
 
I'd be interested to see Zuiverloon brought in to try alongside Chester. At the moment it's him and Cooper/McShane at CB next season. With no imminent signing of Hobbs AND Ayala we need to consider other options because we need Chester plus 2 that we'd be comfortable starting next season, and even if we were comfortable with McShane he's on the list to be offloaded as soon as possible due to wages.
