I'll take that all day long after being two down. At least it stops the run of defeats.

I saw the second goal live on Facebook, I couldn't believe what I was seeing tbh as I had just logged on. A free kick drilled in from the side of the box by Ritchie, one of their defenders did a Kieron Dyer teapot-style attempt at kicking and deflected it in.

There may be a lack of consistency, but for me we are really limited on PL quality players and I cannot fathom what Rafa is looking at in training. Joselu isn't PL standard, Mitrovic is. Manquillo isn't, Mbemba is. I think Shelvey should play with both Hayden and Merino.

unfortunately we have what we have until time and finances decree otherwise
got to support whoever wears the shirt
 
Turning point. Woke up at 4.15am (915pm GNT) for morning prayers with us 2-0 down and we get two goals in last 30mins.

Who says there isn't a god? Johnny Evans now an honorary muslim. Ok now for World peace and a place in Europe next year. Would try for a Sunderland home win but think World Peace might be an easier place to start.

Yeah I get that, but I can't remember the last time I looked at a Rafa lineup and thought "yeah, looks about right". Not that I know better, but some of the decisions seem to be personal rather than tactical/rational. We'll never know the full truth of it, but Mitrovic is the only PL class striker we have, and that's saying something.
 
Typical toon experience raging one minute then ecstatic the next from two nil doon away to gain a point is a massive achievement but like someone said the lack of goals in open play is very worrying... We must just keep plugging away until January and hopefully who ever is running the club coughs the fuk up.
