Not necessarily. We've made a payment that secures our ability to use Wembley until then. The current plan is still to play all of our post-Fulham matches at the new ground.
Shame, was looking forward to spanking you in your brand new stadium debut. What's happened anyway? Diddnt buy any extra materials cos you thought the meterials you had was enough?
Did anyone else hear something that sounds an awful lot like a misanthropic David Baddiel lookalike's head explode?
I hope you're right...another half season at wembley would be crap...but it sounds like it really could happen
ITKs told me the Poool paid a lot of money to keep the spanking to 4-1 like last season, so petitioned for the game played at Wembley.
A) it’s being bigged up in the Sun and Mirror - not the most reliable of sources B) the option for a couple more games at Wembley was well known and is a sensible and necessary fallback. B) the club would have to make an official announcement if the grand opening was delayed til 2019. For those reasons, while I still reckon we’ll be playing at the THS before November at the latest, at least we know the overtime is covered......
I’ve heard too many people working up there saying it’ll never be ready in time, so sadly it seems my biggest fears are about to be realised. With talk of contractors being offered lump sums to work longer hours and the lack if signings this summer, I think it’s fair to say our chairman’s focus has been firmly on the stadium completion and tightening the purse strings until we know the full cost of this thing. The problem with any major build is never the bulky work, it’s always in the detail. With the shell completed for quite some time, it’s easy to be fooled into thinking it’s clise to completion when in reality, there’s a ton of work left to do behind the scenes. I predict it won’t be long until the club announce our first game won’t be until 2019. Better to overcompensate than have have to reschedule again for.a second time. With season ticketsalready sold, it could get really messy!
Didn't we have to get sign off from the other clubs to play 1 game at wembley and the rest at THS? IIRC the prem don't like you playing your home games at 2 different stadiums. I fear this could snowball pretty easily into the whole season being at Wembley.
Whole season at Wembley IMO. Playing X games at one stadium and then Y at another isn't going to work. Fans (home and away), opposition clubs, premier league etc etc are all going to have a say on it. You'd probably rather play Spurs at Wembley than at THS (assuming we adapt), so it becomes a factor for the league.
I think that we asked for permission to use more than one home ground this season. It wouldn't surprise me though, given the way that this has gone. There's a lot of pissed off Spurs fans right now and the club has handled this terribly.
