Welsh Giants! I'll ask again, are you hurt or indifferent?

Remember this was not a thread about Swansea.

I didnt reaise how big we were.

I always knew we were a bigger club than yourselves but then so are Wigan and they are also a small club.

Now however im reading we are the Welsh Giants , so good us winning the Football League Championship is the same as Tyson beating a 5 year old (from VRD).

HMRC who chased down the Glasgow Giants dont want to claim our taxes (ok VRD again and he aint the brightest)

Maybe we are going to be bigger than Barcelona.<laugh>

E.g. With respect to fulham when they were finishing 8th and getting to Europa league finals I didn't for one minute think they were a bigger club than us. Just having more success at that point. Swansea are hitting their peak... Anyway every dog as they say. Roll on the season. Up the Bluebirds!

Everything is relative, but in terms of football in Wales, Cardiff are truly the Welsh Giants. Swansea get their 15 minutes of fame and they've gone all orgasmic thinking it's changed.

There was this myth about David and Goliath that sounded good but was a load of bollucks - just another chapter in a 2000 year old novel.

They're trying to re-enact it - Dai has got his sling out down there, but unlike the myth, he mythes every time......<laugh>

The groovey gang and it's accolytes keep trying to pour scorn on this club out of sheer insecurity in the name of banter. Remember, they will improve on last year's Prem position and we are bound to go down - they've told us over and over.

Even Phil offered anyone across here a bet on that. In the end, he wouldn't even take a bet on us finishing above them despite offering me some stupid odds. The welcher from Gower has bottled it.......<laugh>

They are a small club who have done well this past few years, fair play, but they've peaked big time - spending £13.7M on Bony was a desperate attempt by Huw to placate Laudrup and his critics.

The only way for them now is downwards - maybe even down.

Sparkey, I will take the bet on. As financial transactions will be difficult, howzabout the loser changes their username to

If you lose , "Swansea City Are The Best Team In Wales....FACT"

And I will post the same about your redtits if you are correct :)

Guarantee you would dissapear in the depths of Trecco Bay for a month or 2 though

    Swim!
That is not the original bet fella. I'd be surprised if Spark even acknowledges your amended proxy bet.
How do you feel about us referred to as Welsh Giants swim?

No issues with it as we have had better superlatives. Havent you heard of Jack The Giant Killer :) ? Keep believing in ancient myths if you want, I will happily live in reality.

And even if the bet was used before, Sparkey is too chicken to take it

What exactly makes you a big club? You've been in the championship for 10 years and was last in top flight over 50 years ago. You've won one major trophy in the 1920's. It cant be Tan that is making you a big club as you've had this mentality for at least the last 5 seasons now <laugh>
Spending money you dont have does not make you a big club so that cant be it.
    Hmm puzzling one that.

No running away for me swim - I've had a few things to do over lunchtime, but I've just logged on to see your suggestion as a substitute for Phil's reticence.

Nothing to do with name changes as a prize - that's too simplistic. This is seriously about money pal, and Phil gobbed off on here and than ran away.

He stupidly offered me 1000/1 for us to finish above you this season with the usual laughing smiley attached to his post. I had no problem with that but told him to be sensible about it and I'd just take 40/1 being as he was so confident of our struggle this season and your eminence as an experienced Premier club.

I told him I'd have £25 with him as long as he had a grand to back up his chopsing on the forum. Result: - last seen running for the safety of his own board.........<laugh>

BTW, there was no problem with money exchange - we could do it easily through Paypal transfers into whoever's account won the bet. It could all be verified as paid up and completed on this forum or one of us would lose serious face as bet welchers.

Do you want to take it instead?

EDIT.......gotta go back out for a couple of hours, but I'll catch up later. <ok>

We have way more potential to grow than you swans-m and you know it and that's why you guys are on this board constantly because you are in a state of panic at thought of your honeymoon period of being the only welsh club in the premier coming to end. You support is ****e. Catchment area does not have the same potential as ours. You mention us in the lower leagues but we still managed to make 2 cup finals in recent years. We are the biggest club in Wales fact and you are deluded if you think otherwise. One only has to point to attendances to know that. You were averaging 12k in the championship. ****e support small club having its dog day.

Same old crap from the same old codgers. Criticising our posters for speculating and not being able to see into the future then you come up with this gem: "The only way for them now is downwards - maybe even down."

Barely disguised wishful thinking - and what utter claptrap. A number of things are possible and 'downwards or down' is just one of them. Finishing mid-table and a decent run in Europe is also a possibility - that's hardly downwards is it? I therefore suggest thinking before typing next time. You seem to have trouble with this rather simple concept. Ask one of the nursing home staff to help you.

As for signing a £13M player who was chased by some pretty big clubs and who turned down at least one of the top clubs being a 'sign of desperation'. Really? Keeping taking the pills. Again, you can get help I'm sure.<ok> Just ask Spurs fans who were spitting chips that they missed out on him. You really don't know your football.

Then again if Cardiff had signed Bony you'd be singing a different tune. So ****ing predictable.

EDIT: My comments were not directed at you, london. I wouldn't waste my time on you I'm afraid. :) I only tend to debate those vaguely humanoid over here. Spunkey just about qualifies despite the dribble down his chin that has to be wiped away by the staff at frequent intervals.<ok>

Ok folks, it looks as if no bets are going to happen, now will someone start discussing the atricle to which this thread was created. If not then this will also be consigned to the banter thread.

Genuinely serious question: Why do you jacks come on the Cardiff board?

(most of you) Spend all your time belittling Cardiff and the posters on this board, who (most of which) happen to be very sensible, while claiming to want "a good debate" when you can't even manage that among yourselves on your own board.

I'm all for having "a good debate" but this petty point scoring is REALLY getting boring now.

P.s. I know there are some Cardiff posters who do the same, but I just want to know the jacks 'point of view'.
