Typical comment by Colin about Snodgrass. 'He's made it clear what he wants to do and he's had his head turned. He wants to play in the Premier League. He believes his Scotland international career may be better served in the Premier League, but I'm not so sure.'

Very similar to his comment about Drury 'wanting to prove his old club wrong.'

<doh>

Colin must have more hate for Norwich now than ever!

Ill agree to disagree about Ward not worth going round in circles.

Regarding Feeds United though - how on earth did Clayton end up being linked with clubs like Huddersfield (no disrespect)? I thought he was their next breakout star..

he wins loads of headers, is quite good positionally, he just needs to understand that instead of trying to pass the ball all the time, he needs to just clear it upfield, in the general direction of away from his own goal. He's fine doing that!

ILD OTBC

Totall agree with that statement!!!!

Heard that Snodgrass is ALLEGEDLY having a medical tonight with Turner. Don't quite believe it myself as I think it is too early from when our bid was accepted but we will see.

All personal terms and stuff would have had to be sorted and agreed first though which is part of the reason why I'm unsure.

This is word for word my assessment of Ward too. I totally agree. People saying we need to sign one or two "quality"centre backs have to bear in mind how this fits in the squad. That's why I'm so delighted with the possibility of Turner- a much safer bet than Davies (simply because Davies could possibly be the Earnshaw's defensive brother) and will slot in nicely with Ayala and Bennett. neither of the latter will be happy spending too much time on the bench.

As for the signing of Snodgrass, I'm delighted. Great signing. If the Turner rumour is true, we will need to start off-loading players- possibly Crofts- and maybe we could sign a defensive midfielder, though I'm not convinced we would be set up that way.

As for the Leeds fans, with as many as there are there are always going to be a couple of complete idiots like the fool who wrote the article above, but the ones on here have been pretty
gracious IMO all things considered.

Thank you, but I hope you understand when I say I really hope you get relegated next season, nothing to do with your club in general or fans (apart from your seeming legion of twitter ****s) just because it would feel like some form of payback in a funny way. Unfortunately Snoddy will make that less of a possibility.

You've got to understand that it's frustrating that this is just another decent signing to you, but we're losing out captain who is also our best and longest serving player, after losing our other two best players (one of them also to you) and are watching them get replaced by ****e like Luke Varney. It's a pretty big kick in the balls and I'm not surprised some fans are acting out.

Simon -as we seem to be trying to buy all of your decent players maybe you should just drop Leeds and support Norwich instead? You will still get to wear a yellow shirt and the locals are pretty friendly.

I can understand your bitternes - it would annoy me if a club I regard as smaller than Norwich were to poach our best players for peanuts and the funds sucked into a black hole of the Board's making..

Very honest and sensible post (apart from us getting relegated of course) tbh i'd have felt exactly the same way had West Ham taken Holty. Hope you get some decent replacements in and Bates doesn't sit on all the cash.

It's not that I care whether your a smaller club or not, it's seeing the clear difference in the way the club's are run after our season in League 1 and competing for the top 2 for the first half of the first Championship season. (I did always say I thought we had the better team and I think I'm being proved right now haha)

Obviously my comment about relegation was meant partly in jest, but being perfectly honest it would give me a small measure of (completely unjustified, but still) satisfaction.

i think most leeds fans are very astute but i don't like the fact that one or two are hoping we get relegated because we keep taking their players. it's not our fault! they need to look closer to home as to the reason their top players all want to join us and others. nothing against simon here - i understand he was jesting a little, but i do find it slightly sad that some feel that we should be the ones who get retribution for their own clubs failings.

its similar, i suppose, to some norwich fans who are desperately hoping villa fail. why? just cos they took our ex-manager?

grow up <ok>

Fair point although if you had the better team you probably would have finished above us in L1? Maybe we had a bit more depth and cutting edge than you - I think that in both L1 and the Championship you need goal scorers and Holt/Martin were brilliant for us in L1 and your top striker was sold which left us on a high going up and you not so much. I think it is fair to say that most of the Norwich fans were pleasantly surprised by how well we did in the championship and have done subsequently and I guess with a couple of breaks the other way it could easily have been Leeds.

In terms of personnel you probably had a better midfield (which we have now cherry-picked) but sadly for you our keeper and forward line were vastly superior. I don't think that either defence was great in the Champ but the fact that we got promoted suggests that ours was better. We also had a good manager and supportive board which always helps.

If your takeover ever happens then maybe you will be in the market for some better players to allow you to compete for promotion but if it were imminent then surely Snodgrass would consider staying and leading you up although I can understand his desire for PL football to further his career.

the major difference between the teams in league one was that we weren't reliant on one player to score our goals - we had three banging them in all over the place. i think leeds had the better quality in midfield but we were better in all other areas.
