I think you will find, if you look a little deeper in to those comments, they are not a criticism of the money being spent as such but more in the manner it has been done and on who the money has been spent on. I accept August was a panic buying spree in an attempt to pacify the supporters but none of those players have been close to consistent this season for you, or at least not in a positive way. Most non QPR people were saying they were poor buys and so it proved to be generally speaking and you guys have said the same over the months about each of them too.
The January buys were better but again it all appeared rushed but that was in the main due to the removal of NW and MH didn't have the full window to deal in.
So in a nutshell, the QPR way this season has been panic buying of reject stock and or inflated ego type players (or so it appears). Zamora and Cisse are not exactly rejects stock but Cisse has proved he is a liability. Any team that follows a similar pattern is also likely to struggle, hence it has been 'tagged' and a poor strategy to follow.
QPR have been victims of circumstance since getting promoted and that is unfortunate for you fans if relegation is your fate but the people you need to lash out are the previous owners and the new one. The previous owners for obvious reason, the new one for coming out with rash statements such as - I only want to sign big names. (not his exact words but not far off the mark)
well said hope this post gets used again when the rats on our board start the post mortem which will happen regardless if we stay up or not.... proving my point that some of our fans are turning fickle due to these circumstances. I would add also that Sword's comment about living and dying by the sword is very apt although I believe he would complain if we won the Champions League
