All jokes apart, with many thinking it's a "Micky mouse" sport, this is a fantastic achievement from a brilliant group of hard working sportsmen, congratulations from a very proud aunty of one of the players! To think these players hold down full time jobs/careers, with training and playing on evenings, they are very dedicated in what is not a sport for wimps, some terrible injuries seen. My nephew has been playing from a very young age, rising through the ranks, years of dedicated training, also playing for the junior GB teams, culminating with a gold medal in the world championships a few years ago now. He has juggled his time going through university and training, and now is a full time teacher, with training/playing on evenings. A fantastic role model for some of the youngsters of today, very proud. (Also a City supporter.)
I've heard it's tough to get sponsorship etc with so me players Hawkin themself all over the place to secure it Get ****ing in
Totally agree. They show a true sporting spirit, and the league above is a franchise open to anyone that can pay the joining fee, so they've topped the meritocracy league. Respect to your nephew, you're damn right to be proud.
The Pirates coach was saying 600 fans went to Sheffield and outnumbered the home fans. They are the best fans in the country. Expect Geraghty will be declaring that Hull is an ice hockey town in the near future.
Sheffield who? Sheffield Ice Pigs? Sheffield Forgemen? Sheffield Storm? Sheffield Raiders? We need to know
He just said at Sheffield. Haven't a clue what they call them and care even less. Obviously not as world famous as the Hull ice hockey team.
Talking of Sheffield. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/ar...e-flying-WELSH-flag-mark-St-Patricks-Day.html In short yesterday was St Paddys day so they fly a Welsh flag.
