Good lord. Considering the mare of a season you lot have had despite a level of investment that should of had you putting a strong challenge in for the title AT LEAST, I think to suggest that it is likely to get CL footy at Liverpool is controversial to say the least. Your only source of and hope of CL footy has left to join Barca and without him you are as likely to get it as Saints.
Ouite Ironic. How do you reckon Firmino will integrate into the second best attack in the league ?
Are there any players in the prem that dont want to win it?
Surely that would put them in breach of some kind of "not trying hard enough rule" ala jockeys etc.

Clyne stated in the Spring that he wanted to win league titles......and play in the CL. You've not managed the former for a quarter of a century and the latter once in 6 years.......
Makes you think he might have been thinking about another destination when he came out with that statement......

Strange because I think lukaku said something similar just before moving to Everton..
No idea, but if he did there's no way he had Everton in mind when he said it.

He didn't say 'compete' for titles he said WIN.
He patently had another club on his radar when he came out with that.
Is Liverpool a step up from Soton? Of course it is.
