But he didn't he forced him wide?

If's and but's. Johnson would have got goal of the season IF his shot had gone in rather than hit the bar today. We would have been a few points better off IF Skrtel hadn't passed the ball to Tevez.

Fact remains, Wellbeck dived today to follow up his dive for England as well. Wonder if he'll start getting a reputation in the same way others have done, or because he's English it will get brushed under the carpet and Johnny Foreigner will still get blamed for everything.

Seriously? Shearer said it was a dive, which it was. Suarez dived as well. What is wrong with you people who refuse to criticise players who fleetingly wear the shirt of your club? Do you really idolise such pricks. Love the club, not the player.

Brilliant keeping, brilliant keeping?! Welbeck was going nowhere and being tracked by a defender, it was ****ing appalling keeping!

If you watch that again, you'll see his foot is coming down then Nani moves his leg which means it ends up going udnerneath the Wigan's players foot. Also, slow motion does it no favours like a lot of fouls you see. Everything looks worse in slow motin.

Also, what has this got to do with Wellbeck diving? <whistle>

Welbeck was 3 yards in front of the defender and had done him for pace. Keeper came out, forced him wide and out for a goal kick. That's good goal keeping.

No offence mate, but you're clueless if you think that was good goalkeeping. Welbeck was going nowhere other than towards conceding a goal kick. Al Habsi could have stayed on his line rolling a fat one.

He had the ball at his feet about 5 yards out from the line. If keeper wasn't there he would have had time to cut in on goal. Keeper being there forced him wide.

Anyway, still avoiding the point it was an awful dive from Welbeck. Twice in a week now. Coincidence, or habbit?

Im proud that not one player has ever dived at the club i support.

Its a world record and should be in the guinness book of records.

Welbeck stumbled in an attempt to reach a ball he had lost control of, he never asked for a fowl and if you watch the exchange between him and Al-habsi in the aftermath before the kick is taken the keeper say`s it`s not a penalty and Welbeck nod`s and say`s i know.

I said Welbeck needed to eliminate that from his game so can't see how that is avoiding the point but whatever gets you hard. He dived, it was a daft challenge by the keeper, Suarez dived because it's in his nature to cheat. It is ok to criticise the ****s that play for the club you follow.

Hard to tell from the clip you posted but Nani must have felt it was because he was really Pi@@ed.

It seems jittery on here but where I got it from is much smoother and he clearly stamps his foot down towards Nani's knee.

Wasn't man enough to admit to the ref it wasn't a penalty though? Could have easily said no like the guy in the below clip did.

He didnt actually appeal and Hernandez took the worst penalty ever so justice was done.

However I would like Welbeck to cut it from his game and in time I am sure he will. Younger players tend to be more prone to the less sporting side of the game and over time they cut that sort of nonsense from their game.

Wellbeck is a fabulous player and fantastic prospect. Suarez is becoming the Child catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang in the eyes of opposition supporters, referees and the FA. One dived today and got a pen, the other was fouled (or at least there was definite contact) and was promptly booked by a referee keen to bask in the glow of adulation from the home fans and the media at large (and the FA).

The fact that one is an Englishman and the other is a greasy dago from South America is probably irrelevant, as the FA and English media are known for their scrupulous morale stance on the issue of racism.

Never seen that clip before but you really should have pointed to Fowler, the only player i have ever seen in the English game who tried to tell the ref no fowl had been commited when a penalty had been given in his favour.
