sorry to display my lack of knowledge here. but who picks up the tab for wages etc... if god forbid he were out for any length of time, club or countries insurance also for medical bills etc,
Good question wings. I would like to think that the various international bodies would have to carry insurance to protect their players against injuries that would affect their employers (i.e. Bristol City). Someone on here will have the right info.
I asked this when Wells and Palmer were injured for so long. I can’t believe that the club would not be insured. I didn’t get an answer.
You could check the last accounts and see what the insurance might be if it is listed I think they get insurance for a player who is made to give up on medical grounds .........
I read he was sat on the bench, but not one of the subs, and had his leg in plaster, was that wrong ?
ANDI WEIMANN Andi Weimann played 46 minutes of Austria's Nations League defeat against France in Paris on Thursday, September 22nd before being an unused substitute against Croatia on Sunday, September 25th, 7.45pm.
