But Walter hadn’t spent his life doing it, he never played professionally, he’s only been in the pro game a few years. Literally no different to some on here blagging it. I bet he used to go on his favourite teams forum and pretend he’d seen every game of football ever played and know everything about the 3rd choice goalkeeper from some Albanian 3rd division team.

It’s was like achieving the play-offs this season and last with the current Leeds United team, it’s the minimum that was expected.
He was hardly successful at the other clubs when he didn’t have a top squad either.
To be fair, his replacement didn’t manage it and they were in the play-off position when he was sacked and they’re not in the playoff position now.
And as Newcastle says, there’d be far less promotions here, if a Championship club had to beat a Premier League club to go up.
And they've been down there five or six years now. No one has managed to get them up and clearly no one has a divine right to get out of that league, much like ours. There are plenty of sticks to beat him with but his record at Hamburg, a far bigger club than us, isn't one of them
watching motd and it genuinely makes me happy to see KLP starting again and continuing to hold his own the the prem, hope Greaves continues and stays there too, to have two hull lads come through thr academy and be regular starters in the prem is v heartening.
Just because the next guy doesn’t do well, doesn’t mean the previous guy did a good job. It’s all relative, it just means one was worse than the other. They could have both underachieved.
I suspect if Rosenior had left under different circumstances, people would have more patience with Walter. Swapping stable management under a fan favourite for this mess was never going to go down well.
Whoever came in after him (in the eyes of some) had to instantly have success, have a playing philosophy installed instantly, be constantly in the top 6 and all that despite losing 10s of millions of pounds worth of players and replacing them with lesser ones and a chunk of those lesser ones not coming till deadline day..... Has Tim done himself any favours, god no. But I think he was on a hide into nothing from the start tbf and it was made even hider by how he was supported from above during the window
