Weekend predictions

I’d forgotten to update this, sorry chaps. OP now updated.

@PINKIE & @remembercolinlee both had mares allowing @Solid_Air 2 to gain ground as he glued VvD’s leg back on & got the PED’s back out, up into 2nd.
@Gessa had a decent week and pushed himself into the CL spots.

We’re going for a League 1 Special this weekend (only one set of games for Saturday, but 8 fixtures over 6) might sort the wheat from the chaff.

Matchday 7 - the International Break, the League 1 - who **** are they Special.
  • AFC Wimbledon vs Northampton Town
  • Blackpool vs Plymouth Argyle
  • Bristol Rovers vs Sunderland
  • Hull City vs Gillingham
  • Milton Keynes Dons vs Donnie Rovers
  • Peterborough United bs Accrington Stanley
  • Shrewsbury Town vs Pompey
  • Wigan Athletic vs Ipswich Town

  • 2-2 AFC Wimbledon vs Northampton Town - The cobblers pulled off a shock result last game against Oxford. Dons held Charlton.
  • 2-0 Blackpool vs Plymouth Argyle - Blackpool have turned out the dark horse of L1, where the fook did they suddenly appear from!
  • 0-3 Bristol Rovers vs Sunderland - I only see this going one way, and I can't stand the thug that is Barton.
  • 0-1 Hull City vs Gillingham - ain't going to happen, but I can dream.
  • 1-0 Milton Keynes Dons vs Donnie Rovers - need a favour from MK on this one, keep them play-off places open.
  • 1-1 Peterborough United bs Accrington Stanley - Posh should win, but their recent form has been terrible.
  • 1-0 Shrewsbury Town vs Pompey - same as MK game, I need a favour from the Shrews.
  • 0-0 Wigan Athletic vs Ipswich Town - Give this game a wide berth if you are betting.

In the unlikely event of a Gillingham win it would be rude if everyone didn’t visit the Hull board.

They will have an absolute melt-down if we beat them, and Sunderland fans (if they win), might be paying them a visit to.

Most of the teams near the top would be good away trips albeit not new grounds for me. Sunderland is a bit more of a schlep than Hull but infinitely more interesting.

Then again we probably won’t be back in grounds for five years in which case it doesn’t matter.

I'm going for a massive L1 upset and Gills beating Hull away mate, so you might want to do the opposite to me <laugh>

Gone for you lot too, i was checking your past results and you're a bit of a massive bogey team for the big boys

We've caused a few upsets recently, mainly because our striker has finally found his scoring boots! None less so than our 0-3 win away at Lincoln, anyone who had watched Lincoln versus us earlier in the season at our place, will know how big a win the more recent game was.

I’m amazed Sky are screening precisely none of the L1 offering this weekend.

I’d sort assumed they would be, and was half looking forward to seeing a couple of the games tbh.

EDIT: just noticed they’re showing one game tonight that I’d missed. Oxford vs Lincoln

Love affair with the "big six" is so strong I'm often surprised when they show a bottom half game tbh
