Well Ben and two of his chums are on their way to Elland Road. One is a Spurs fan (and very good footballer) who has been with us once before and jumped at the chance to do it again. The other has never been to a live game and is quite shy, will be interesting to see what he makes of it. Certainly, Ben is doing his bit for future fan base recruitment :emoticon-0148-yes:

I did ask Michael if he wanted a ticket and to see if he would take them to a strip club afterwards but, apparently he has a big game of dominoes on at the Dog and Duck and a couple of halves planned <wah>

Couldn’t go myself, Jan has been competing in Somerset this week and has qualified for the Horse of the Year show for the first time in her life so I am being the good husband, champagne on ice and dinner all prepared :emoticon-0148-yes:

you can use a 10% guideline as a minimum physical difference between the genders when you look at athletics world records for example. If women are 10% slower, 10% smaller then by playing on men’s pitches, the pitch is too big, the goals too big etc proportionate to the men’s game… it might part explain the pace of the game, the time on the ball… why the defenders seem so sh*t and the goalies useless…. But the main reason for the ability differentiation is there aren’t millions and millions of girls kicking balls around in the back garden, and joining clubs. Hey maybe events like this will change all that, but trying to draw comparisons with the men’s game is, well, bollox

I'd expect a starting XI for Wolves to start the game and go for it but I can see a ****load of changes by the 60 minute mark which usually ruins the game as a spectacle.

I hope we make very few changes in this match. It's our final ****about match of the season.

Next game is war, & we have to be 100% prepared for that. No, it's time to see who plays well over 90, not 60. Serious business now. Only subbing for injury, I hope (well, I don't want injuries, but you know what I mean). Squad players have had all of the minutes they deserve to date. The FIRST TEAM need to be greedy with minutes now. If they can't do more than 60 mins, they shouldn't be considered. No place for giving players cuddles & encouragement now. It's war & only the best should be considered - but only if they can manage 90 mins.

Btw, what bar is Ben going to be in before / after? By the sounds of it, Uncle OLOF is going, so hope Ben doesn't end up discovering queasy, greasy side of Leeds with him. <whistle>

Thank you pal. He will be in The Peacock garden before, afterwards, who knows? No doubt doing his bit to help the hospitality industry get back on their feet in the city centre (he has a hotel somewhere in the middle of town but has to get back for work in the morning - his boss is a bit of an 4rse <whistle>).

No, OLOF isn’t going, he has his game of dominoes to go to <whistle>

Question!!! Have I read or was I dreaming over flares being banned after that daft twat Richarlison threw it back into the crowd?

IF so what’s the FA going to do to them horrible theaving scouse cnuts yesterday, flares being let off after each goal…. There will be fck all done, nothing being mention by the Sky news tosses either.

I'm alright with womens football. I used to watch Guiseley Girls back in the late 90's. The quality is fairly low but you do get some good games.

It'd just got a bit cringy the last few years. It's been forced on the fans of the men's game and the girls now want even pay which is fine as long as they attract the crowds and sponsorship to get that kind of money.

It grates a bit with the constant comparison to the men's team. I heard today that the women will eclipse the men's team if they win the final today which is utter nonsense. This **** with Ellen White becoming England's all time top scorer by overtaking Rooney is really frustrating. Stick Rooney in a woman's team and he'd get 10-15 goals a game. Stick Ellen White in the men's team for 100 matches and she'd not only get zero goals but would probably end up seriously hurt. To compare the two is ridiculous but somehow has become acceptable.

Just let the women do their own thing. Nobody is going to tell them to stop. The constant piggy backing of the men's game which has taken 150 years to build up is very frustrating.

In fairness Faye Carruthers on talkSPORT said comparisons like that are unhelpful to the women’s game, they should be viewed as two totally different sports.
