Hi all and welcome to the new prediction league for the 2025//26 season.
The competition will follow the exact same format as previous seasons with weekly and monthly winners and at some point I will also introduce a cup competition to run each month. For those that can last the pace there will also be a season champion to whom I will present a £10 Saints gift voucher as first prize.
This is week 1 and the first week of the August League.
DEADLINE FOR ENTRIES IS BEFORE KICK-OFF OF THE FIRST GAME WHICH IS 12:30 ON SATURDAY 9 AUGUST.

Predict the scores for the following 6 fixtures.
Play your joker against your most confident prediction to double points
Southampton v Wrexham
Oxford v Portsmouth
Middlesbrough v Swansea
Norwich v Millwall
QPR v Preston
Stoke v Derby
GAME 2 - 'home' team is listed first

a) Name any one player to score for their home team in any of the above fixtures
b) Name any one player to score for their away team in any of the above fixtures
GAME 3

Bonus points - pick ONE game from the 6 listed score prediction fixtures in Game 1 and the total goals scored in that match will be added to your weekly total
SCORING & RULES
--------------------------
Game 1 - 3 points for each exact score prediction or 1 point for a correct result prediction (ie. home win, away win or draw). Play your joker against one of the fixtures to double your points for that fixture
Game 2 - 2 points for a correct 'home' goalscorer and 3 points for a correct 'away' goalscorer
Game 3 - goals scored in selected fixture will be added to your points total
BONUS POINTS
Game 1 - 3 bonus points for correctly predicting all 6 results (ie. home win, away win or draw). 2 bonus points for correctly predicting 2 or more exact scores
Game 2 - 1 bonus point for correctly predicting both goalscorers
POSTS CANNOT BE EDITED AFTER THE FIRST FIXTURES HAVE KICKED OFF. IF YOU WANT TO MAKE ANY CHANGES THEN CREATE A NEW POST.
