We’re going to be in the championship next season and we’re really debating whether Brendan Rogers is good enough for us. You’re right, let’s get Pep, he’s never won the EFL, might want it on his CV . Rogers would be a sensational signing for the EFL and I suspect he wouldn’t come here unless money was being made available to get us back up. IF it’s true of course.
Potter and Rodgers would be the best UK coaches for us and so glad that the media are ignoring Jacko and Corberan, although even though Jacko was unlucky being sacked by MK Dons he would be better than Skoobs, Gracia or Big Sam. Don’t think the club would have the balls to do that unless we were skint and refusing to be dictated to by potential Rodgers/Potter demands. So watch this space if we get a Rodgers/Potter type we have cash if we get a Jacko we’re skint
Just on the new defence and our players in general. Anyone remember how rubbish Dallas was as a winger before Marcelo got hold of him. What about John Stones at City who was dropped and couldn't get a game for ages before Pep got him his mojo back and now has even turned him into some hybrid defender/midfielder which is quite amazing really. Good coaches bring out the best in individual players and then the great ones make the team more than the sum of their parts as well, but what's probably less talked about is the fire they light under all the players they coach which comes from their temperament and unrelenting desire to win.
Whilst I'm in a good mood I'd like to congratulate each and every one of you on here for having a brilliant season. The camaraderie and general leg pulling has to been exceptional even if our team hasn't. Well done lads and long may it continue
Did he just get sacked for putting Leicester in deep relegation trouble? Or am I imagining that? I just find people’s often very strong and very varying opinions on different coaches fairly amusing. Hence I painted both the yin and Yang of Rodgers.
Leeds United in 'big, big trouble' as 'defeatist' Sam Allardyce slammed by Mark Chapman, Chris Sutton and Micah Richards Sam Allardyce’s decision to castigate his Leeds United players after the defeat to West Ham left them on the brink of relegation has been blasted as “damning”, “strange” and “really defeatist” by BBC 5 Live pundits.
I get that and of course you’re not wrong. My point is, when we go down he is at the highest level of coaches we can get, won the FA cup with them (something we can only dream about). Other than that it’s big Sam, a punt on another foreign manager or Steve Gerard / Lampard. More than happy to hear who you would want.
It’s a pity radz didn’t sell up after first season back. If he didn’t intend investing he should have sold us on
His stated intention was to grow his asset to £1Billion cos he's a greedy fecker but football has a way of kicking you in the ging gangs and now he want to go home. Cupid stunt thought when we were in trouble you just throw a bit of dosh at it in January and all will be fine.
Correct but he also wanted the glory of getting into Europe and leaving the club as a legend. Instead he is slinking off with his tail between his legs
