**** that, if we went to a tote system like other countries I'd stop betting on horses and stop going to the races as well. I want to know what price I'm getting on a horse and haven't used the tote since 2003 when at Ascot I put a bet on a horse showing 18 on the tote 30 seconds before the race started, it won and got paid at 12 absolute joke, couldn't give a **** about prize money and anyway there are probably too many horses in training anyway.

Yep, am fully aware of this feeling in your country, think I wrote "...........as this is what punters want."? Please don't forget that without 'owners', there's bugger-all in racing for you to bet on? The majority of owners are most certainly not 'filthy rich' people. They deserve better prize money than this, surely? It is only bookmakers who are bothered if you stop betting on horses, no one else is. Will certainly agree with you that there are far too many horses in training, that is a fact,

The forum jinx continues
I am backing plenty of winners lately but if I mention them on here they are ****ed!

Yes, Stick, in a slightly similar vein, I backed my selection yesterday e/w, but completely forgot to add e/w in my little post. Couldn't mention that afterwards because up comes the dreaded word 'aftertiming". I am going to get that now anyway, <laugh>

Similarly Swanny, since mentioning to you how well our boys were playing they have gone to ****!

Ayrad in the county?!? Ayrad in a handicap?!? Ayrad off 104?!? The 4.10 at Salisbury looks his for the taking off this perch and against these rivals.

The betting boots and the punting pants are on this morning, crew.
Not too confident then Barney <laugh>. <applause><applause><applause>
