Cor blimey on Saturday Mr Ponsonby, the forum’s 2nd favourite owner, combined a Lieutenant and a Commander and tomorrow he relies on a Colonel. (Miller in the ‘lucky last’ at God’s own racecourse, Newton Abbot). What’s occurring?!?

All eyes will be on York, of the morrow, but that really is a lovely card at Newton Abbot and looking at that meet, by the way, you really do have to pontificate as to whether Iniesta, one of the best bred horses in training, has finally been found (no pun intended) the ideal winning opportunity in the 4.15. Was a good 2nd over course and distance, last month, and 102 really should be very exploitable.

The above mentioned Lieutenant also brightens up proceedings by running Royal Irish Hussar (a horse that I could, and oft have, droned on about. But won’t bore everyone solid once again so don't fret) whilst the bumper also looks potentially very, very nice. But I’ll leave the review of that to others.

Good luck all.

Representatives from some top yards in that Newton Abbot bumper but noting really taking my fancy in terms of pedigree. The "interesting" horse in the race has to be PEPPERDEW 66/1, whose dam was a winner in the US and half-brother amassed over half a million dollars in prizemoney. Pepperdew never made it to the track for Godolphin and was part of last years clearout, she went for £8k, the stud fee for her sire Street Cry is 100k.
He has joined a small yard which could be seen as a positive and I like the booking of David Bass, certainly worth a bob or two each way at such huge odds.

Nice shout, Stick. Interestingly, the Bass boys last 2 rides for the Davies stable both won. And, furthermore, both were at God’s own racecourse, Newton Abbot!

Fancy expensive liaison in the musidora at a big price. Nicely bred by Camelot, was fourth in a hot maiden and duly obliged next time out. Could be any thing and I'll take a chance at the price.

was going to alert you to Shanaway at perth for the Coltherd team , value has gone i'm afraid , just let it win / lose , no price really anymore 3/1 ..

Think it could be a Favs day at NA, with the best chance going to POSH TOTTY with Bryony on board again. Won really well last time out.
