Are you actually saying that this goal shouldn't have stood? That ball was thrown on the pitch by Liverpool supporters when Sunderland were in an excellent position to score anyway...If this goal had been disallowed it would have been a travesty of justice...

It is only my opinion, but I feel that in general Newcastle tend to get the rub of the green with refs decisions and Sunderland most certainly don't...
I mentioned on another thread about the ineptitude of South Yorkshire Police, in which Howard Melton Webb is still a sergeant. It would appear that he has not learned how to apply the rules in two jobs. The man is a grade 1 bell-end.
i dont think that mariner lad he is never in control of a game gives out way to many cards and just about every game gets somthing big wrong
I would agree with most of these comments, the decision was a travesty but what about the player; he cheated and got away with it (as did Larsson IMHO). Perhaps there should be retrospective punishment for cheating twats with lets say a 5 game ban, it would hopefully then rid this disease from the beautiful game. As for Webb and the rest of the inept officials, perhaps if they were allowed to come on TV and air their views then we supporters would take some solace from this.
No the goal should have been disallowed and there should've been a dropped ball at the place the incident occurred. The rules state that this should happen if the ball is hit by anything that is not normally on the pitch. If for example the ball had hit the referee and gone in, because the ref is classed as part of the field of play just as a player is, a goal would stand but if the ball hit a magpie <s> that happened to be nonchalantly strolling around the goal area, minding its own business, and went into the net the goal shouldn't stand.
My point is that if the goal had not been given it would have opened the floodgates for fans to throw objects onto the pitch when the opposition have scoring chances...
There is a common denominator in our games and the barcodes games and that is Howard I'm ****ing great look at me Webb, maybe he has it in for the North East clubs? Maybe if Boro come up for next season then some of those decisions will be going Boros way. Lets face it lads we can't change it and the ****wits at the FA won't change it.

Yes, well Liverpool got quick revenge the following game at Anfield when yet another abortion of a goal was awarded, when the free kick that we hadn't even taken was booted up field by Kuyt and a goal scored Torres. not only was that an illegal goal it was absolutely immoral as well and if Dalglish had one like that awarded................................... hang on, its Liverpool, they wouldnt would they?
Also, I was at the red balloon game (other end of the SOL to the goal tbh) and didnt even know it had hit anything until after the game and we were walking back to the car when my old man rang me and told me. That 'trip' yesterday was in the same goal and yet from my same seat you could see it wasnt a penalty.
Webb was 10 or 12 ft away FFS.
