This thread is for me and anyone else who’s excited and optimistic about the playoffs. I might be the only one, so be it.

At least I won’t have to see the same old clichés on repeat splattered across almost every other thread …

… ‘this team has more points, that’s our bogey team, they have better current form, Mundle won’t be fit, RLB won’t make the subs I want, O’Nien will cost us, we can’t score penalties, etc etc etc’.

This thread can just be for any daft optimists, who I class as normal supporters, who just want to look forward to, and enjoy, a three game chance for promotion to the PL.

What’s happened previously is irrelevant.

I’ve seen many people posting ‘It’s a lottery’ as if that’s a bad thing …

… if it really is such a lottery why can’t it be our ball that comes out

I quoted the first post of this thread 'cos I just thought that it was worth reminding us about optimism from a 'normal' supporter, rather than the negativity that some seem to prefer :emoticon-0100-smile

For me it’ll be when we get the announcement that Enzo has signed a permanent deal …

… and when we make our first new signing.

Failing to go up would’ve meant worrying about players leaving, it’s now about who will come.

Sent by my Blades in-law from their forum, almost all comments are praising our fans tbf ...

... Met loads on Friday, then pre and post match yesterday.

To a man woman and kid, they were exceptional. Down to earth, gracious in victory, acknowledging their slice of fortune, completely clear minded they'll get humped next season.

Top marks Mackems.

When this was happening, all the coaches and backroom staff were on the pitch with their arms round eachother looking up. Are there any photos of that knocking about please? I've not seen any.

Edit: sorry, I thought I was on the matchday thread.
