Lost by 33 runs. Bairstow, Root and Buttler got 14 runs between them. Should have their match fee docked.

Glen Maxwell - cramped up like a statue, playing an amazing innings.
Probably won the game for AUS from what looked like a losing position earlier.

wow, nice finish, and a 200 to boot.

144 in boundaries in his 201no.

undefeated 202 8th wicket partnership. maxwell faced 128 for 201no and pat cummins faced 68 for just 12, but all he had to do was stay there. the previous best 8th wicket odi stand was 138.

Never seen anything like that, just wish it hadn't been an Aussie :emoticon-0101-sadsm
AFG's lack of experience lost them that, they just didn't know where to bowl those last 15 overs.

highest score in odi world cup finals by 26 runs. the crifincfo site has a calculation wherein they work out the impact each player had on a game. pat cummins, for scoring a feeble 12no from more than 11 overs faced is listed 21st out of 22. yes, all he had to do was stay there, but for a number 9 batsman to keep his wicket through 28.2 overs is no mean effort and had a lot to do with maxwell not running out of partners.

a betting person could have made a lot of money backing australia when they were in trouble.

If India were getting a little complacent before they might be reflecting now!

But Stokes did ! Alas this team does look like it's going through the motions currently though.

He did, and tbf there probably wasn't a run there in the first place especially with Stokes's knee.

India post a whopping 397, giving the Black Cats no chance.

A couple of earlyish NZ wickets and it was pretty much all over………

    They couldn’t could they?
