Great effort, great result. Sky Game of the day presenter said Sky are showing the Villa game live on Tues although that's not reflected in the TV listings presently. If we can be in with a shout with two games left, and keep playing as we are, I could see us taking the game to Newcastle at home and Leicester away.
I don't think there's anything wrong with criticising the players when the play like ****. In the vast majority of games this season certain individuals have been rank awful. Today's a day to celebrate a good win but we are still likely to go down- that's just realism.
Yeah but it don't help when some Geezers wouldn't know a half decent player if he climbed into bed with them. Some folk still say this bloke is sh*t for Christ's sake! Its hard for some of us who know the game having to listen to sh*te like that week in week out, Sir
Still haven't seen anything yet but have settled down to watch motd. ...but I have this strange happy feeling and only a couple of glasses of corsican red have been quaffed. Simply outstanding result today. .. URRR'SSS
I would usually agree but in this case , a 1-4 away win should be all Ramsey needs to make the players realise that before this game , we had **** all to cling on to , wipe the slate clean ! Make sure these players know that all that matters is where we go from here ! I really believe we can swap places with Sunderland (but leicter and burnley are prob just as likely to pick up points ) but but in that dressing room they should all know that now is the time to regain some self respect . The scum , at home ... They hate the tight pitch the crowed calling them everything from 2 feet away the result is there ! Today should have shown the players that this is football , and you are only as good as the last game , anything before that **** it it's gone , now is there chance to pay a bit back to the fans , the chairman who has been a bit nieve yes but he's paid the squids when asked ! I think we can do this , ****ing hell Ramsey drill it into there head from here on in it's all or nothing , let's send leister burnley and Sunderland down !!!!!
My older two went - got back in just before the game on sky. They are both croakey as hell and over the moon as they say. They reckon Yun had his best game for us and that Ned and caulker were solid.... And Joey was immense. Tried to watch the game on the TV but they spent the whole game telling what was going to happen next , what songs they were singing and keep trying to point out where they were sitting. Nightmare. Anyhow I am now banned from attending any more games this season as my record is 1 draw and 7 losses. Really pleased for the team and fans tonight .
Yes all the we are down doom and gloom with 7 to 10 games left and points wise defo still in it, has really passed me off too.
M.o.t.d !!! Second that amazing support all I could hear was the super and that was with the neggative bbc edditing ....
The support sounded great even before the Match started. Great goals but mostly we were outplayed and we won't be that effective every week. Still think we need to set up like we did at Sunderland, we were far more solid in that formation and just as dangerous up front. But CR will be even less likely to change it after today.
Ozzie you're talkin' out your shi*ter * We weren't outplayed, it was 50/50 * It was also 50/50 at Sunderland * It was also 50/50 at Hull and pretty much the last 3 home games aswell Remember, like West Brom, Sunderland could have easily drawn against us that night too
Swords you have been ripping into Ramsey up to now. You've been saying how crap he is and that you wish Redknapp hadn't left. Now all of a sudden everyone else who has criticised Ramsey is wrong and you're suddenly an authority on all things football. You're so full of ****!
I'm not mate. The possession and shots stats confirm we were 2nd best except in front of goal. If we continue to play like that we'll be lucky to win another game, as I doubt we'll score 4 from 6 on goal again, or keep the opposition to only 1 against. I think we need to change the formation but what do I know- just hope CR sees it that way, he knows a ton more than me.
I'll tell you what I'm an authority on Sir. And its that Junior wouldn't find his way out of a Toilet with a map and a compass, let alone find the back of the net. Its time you quit pedaling failed strategies every week on this Forum cos it just don't wash any more pal
great result I actually thought it was an awful game to watch why do we let teams run at our defence still 4 1 who would have thought
I don't think it's fair to judge us on stats - a team low on confidence who suddenly find themselves ahead at half time, will always get nervy and end up defending for most of the second half. Today, the main difference is that things did (finally) go our way. The last few could've gone the same way and this, conversely, could've gone the other way too. We need more of that luck but confidence breeds fortune and we're looking upwards for a change.
Lot of direct personal stuff another double standard Support the team lads The result proves it's not over It's that simple Everyone knew this would be a tight year but I do agree with Harold on a few things we do have real quality in our squad and he has to be thanked We now have a bright good manager who has put us in these games 20 mins at Palace we looked bad but CR is building no doubt at all and some on here should take a look at themselves
