I've met a few fans over the years who live elsewhere these days.including the fella who travelled up from Portsmouth every game and we used to sit behind a bloke who lived in london,he was as enthusiastic as it gets and it rubs off on other fans.
City fans always make feel feel good ,but you expat fans are simply the best.

It was sad when Sunn stopped travelling from Pompey for every game, but it was a combination of the Allams and a hip(or knee) replacement.

I Actually lived in Fen Drayton then picked my son up from Histon. By the time is finished buggering about it was just short of 350. Then if I had time I'd get fish& chips from Harry Jackson's on Rosmead st, well worth the trip. :emoticon-0105-wink:
You just like driving
Harry Jackson’s !!! Lovely chippy in its day but completely the wrong direction!!!
No wonder you ended up in the Middle East
Probably off to with and took a wrong turning and just kept going

Excellent post
Some good points but the last bit was opinion, not fact, so doesn’t make it so. I think many are getting their knickers in a twist on here by using opinion to justify a position, but it is purely an opinion.

I’m an expat, have been for 30+ years, so don’t get to many games but have not been to a home game for the last several years purely due to the Allams. Started going when I was 5 when my older brother took me and then was a season ticket holder in South Stand for many years till we moved away. Does not going to home games when I’m in the UK make me less of a fan? Does it ****.

People who promote the ‘real fan, not real fan’ argument really need to get over themselves.
