More of the same, a bunch of petty NIMBYs somehow managing to take this to Nth degree. Only QPR could make such a total horlicks of something so straightforward.

What is really pissing me off on an almost daily basis is that my regular trips along the elevated section of the M4 to Heathrow and back takes me past the rapidly rising stadium being built by Brentford, a club with a fraction of our resources but leaving us way behind in every facet of a well run club. But hey, we're building housing at Old Oak, yippee (not)...
 
Warren Farm is an important part of developing a professional coaching and development centre at the club. It willl hopefully help us bring in promising young talent and coaches that we can both build up our team and create revenue from too.
Those that have objected are nothing more than nimby activists who can look no further than the end of their noses. Because they sure didn’t stand up for cleaning the place up, nor putting in suitable or desirable amenities - instead letting locals ruin a welcome space of green land for the community.
Let’s hope these ridiculous year after year objections are put to bed and we can move on!

As I understand the report in WLS this could either be sorted in our favour this month or next, or during next year. So there is some ground to take an optimistic view.

The fact that it has got this far indicates that within the legal framework, the 'Nimbys' have an arguable point. Even supposing that their lawyers are running it because they can make bucket loads of money it is hard to get as far as they have to put their case without at least some prospect of success.

I'm amazed they have the funds to do it

As I recall the last court (possible The High Court) threw it out very speedily.

This hearing is about a right to appeal or not and if declined then one would hope that's it.

The correlation between the fact it's got this far and chance of success may be taintwd by how much they have to throw at it ie money talk but hopefully not to a reasonabke judge or two.

Has anyone bothered to read their blurb and find out what they actually want?
 
It’s a shame they didn’t think before to throw so much of that lawyer money into improving the area and space for their beloved community and dog walkers - then maybe they wouldn’t have had any fight to take on.

The rules that they are exploiting to the maximum extent, for reasons that are beyond my understanding, are the same ones that give you a chance of stopping a supermarket being built at the end of your back garden.

It’s frustrating and their doggedness is bewildering, but I’d rather have the rules than not. Perhaps the club owners will reflect on the foolishness of promising capital developments in short term timelines when they obviously know nothing of planning laws, particularly concerning green space in built up areas.

Has anyone ever seriously suggested that we get rid of the black cat as mascot? Surely it's worth ago in terms of bringing us some better luck. Maybe shoot him on a match day.

"The objectors have 28 days in which to file an appeal to the Supreme Court. The expiry of this will represent the final legal hurdle, which is significant news. We would like to place on record our gratitude to Ealing Council for their perseverance in this matter.”

There is serious money backing the SaveWarren Farm movement, I expect them to appeal, in about 27 days

Are you sure that's not an old quote? That sounds like the appeal to appeal that the Supreme Court rejected yesterday 31 October.
