One way or another that land's going to go. If not us they'll end up with a high density housing estate

Given that there were green lights over a year ago, WHY didn't they start work asap to prevent this nonsense carrying on?

If it was my home and I was in dispute with a neighbour, I'd have the builders ready to go as soon as the judge gave permission.

Do we actually have the cash to proceed with this? How is it being paid for?

There are rumours that this is being financed by some middle eastern buisnessman/nobility who lives near opposite the site.
That is where they get a lot of their money and legal expertise from.

Even after the high court ruling,. we were stopped first by asbestos in the building, then by swifts nesting in the roof and now by rewilding (have they been listening to the Archers).

I have no idea why we have this bad luck, whilst Brentford get the go ahead to put a stadium up in amn urban environment

That's a good question Sb. I have believed for some time that our owners as a group have a lot of money but ever since this FFP thing has happened it seems like we are skint again.

This is Reuben's Dad. So $850m there alone. Together with Toni and Jamie alone there must be another few hundred million and that's without Mittal's billions.

I think the money is there. I hope the will is too.

The owners have money, but they have no way of making a return on it via a championship football club. So the training ground would effectively be a free gift. Why would you do that after wasting hundreds of millions already?

    Long term plan.
    New training ground
    Attract and keep better players.
    Get promoted.
New stadium somewhere in that timeline.
    Make money in about 2040!

    Basically agree with you.

We forget that all these big ideas were kicked off years ago when we were in the premiership. Perhaps they are quietly letting it die now.

Fair play to the ecology group. Apparently some very rare and important dog turds have been discovered which need to be protected and preserved at all costs.
