So sad to hear this news. My family is from Glasgow,the Blue part,and he went to school with one of my Aunts,who kept in touch with him over the years.
She often said she'd been talking to him....a lovely man.

RIP Walter Smith.

I was very impressed with his Rangers team journey to the UEFA Cup final in Manchester, and although they may not have won the competition, it was still a hell of an achievement to get that squad to the final.
