Never mind we have qualified for our first ever major tournament in over 57 years, so well done and thanks Cyprus............
First a word about the game: I couldn't believe the commentary saying how good we were tonight before the goals. I thought we were poor. Time-wasting for fun and overly cautious - then we were running around like lunatics trying to pull one back. We do NOT look like a top ten side at all. BUT having said that I'm very pleased we've made it even though we've had to rely on other results. Well done Mr Coleman - you proved me wrong.
We finished the first half strong, but then went off the boil second half, no cutting edge up front, Ramsey playing like a lemon, and Bale well off his game. Coleman came for the draw from what I could see, too much time wasting passing side ways and backwards, then we got caught, not the best game plan from Coleman tonight, but at least we are going to France.............
Two reasons we've made it - Bale and Williams. The fact we've got strikers like Robson-Kanu, Vokes and Church doesn't fill me with confidence but we're tight at the back, though not great to watch, and with Bale on the pitch you've always got a chance. Not expecting too much from France 2016 but at least we've made it. Great achievement.
I'd like to know what is wrong with Ramsay in a Welsh shirt. Can't remember the last world class game he had for us in a Welsh jersey.
Goals, before Andorra,of course 9-4.That gentlemen is way way not good enough.Andorra have scored 4.France awaits us,we must improve. That said we are there at last.Well done lads.Go forth and conquer.
Here's a good read from yesterday mornings I http://www.independent.co.uk/voices...-s-chariot-has-liberated-us-all-a6688361.html
I thought we seemed to panic when on the ball certainly in the first half , it was like the ball was a ticking bomb with no composure and high hopeful balls up in the air . Bosnia in fairness played some nice crisp one twos and passed the ball with accuracy and purpose. But that being said we were much better in the second half being undone maybe unfairly by two goals which were poorly defended . What ever the outcome next year at least we've lost the tag on nearly men and well done to all concerned .
A single result went our way and we are justifiably through with a game to spare so in my book it's been a great qualification......Well done to the players, Coleman and his staff for achieving something many others have failed to do with some of them with Better players available. 1958 was special at the time but now we can get right up to date with our qualification to the latest tournament....Well done to Coleman who is now assured to pick up the team of the season on the Welsh awards this year....
Or if the Swans win the premiership Which is off the scale of probability just like Wales winning the WC with a second string squad that is left to take part....
We have a average sort of team that we rely on no more than 3 players to play out of their skins to win, we have been lucky to have a fairly easy group but not as easy as England's group but we will struggle against the big teams big time as we cant score goals constantly. Without bale we would not have qualified and i hope we can find another good striker before we go to France or we will be a laughing stock out there. If Bale,Ramsey and Williams are not on top form then i cant see us winning any games tbh.....
There are a lot of 'ifs' in that comment Dai!! As for an easy group prior to qualification we were ranked below both Boznia and Belgium, so I wouldnt call that lucky. You are quite right though without our best players we wouldn't have qualified ( the flipside is that without the other 10 players on the pitch we wouldn't have qualified either) but that goes for any team. It just goes to show how well the team has done. As for being a laughing stock I very much doubt that. Considering the size of our country and truly lack of wealth within tyhe Welsh FA, we would be seen as plucky rather than a laughing stock. Finally as for Williams, Bale and Ramsey having to be on top form well you could say the same for many teams in the competition and list their top 3 players and they would struggle. Hazard, De Bruyne and Kompany; Rooney Kane and Walcott; I could go on but you get my point. Bottom line we are a very small country with limited finances and we have managed to qualify for a major tournament without the benefit of being seeded prior to the draw ( dont forget we have only lost once during this qualification no small effort in itself). That in itself is a major achievement, much more than being top seeds in your group and winning every game.
