This thread is a little strange.

The OP is asking people to give their opinion on whether Waggy should have been signed. If people say he's a bad singing and turn out to be right they can justifiably maintain that opinion, but if he turns out to be good they have to change it. So in other words we just change our opinions of him based on what he does on the pitch, which is pretty much what we do for every other player.

Perhaps more importantly, as fans it isn't our job to know whether a signing will be good or not in foresight. But it is the management team's job. So if he turns out to bed bad I reserve the right to moan about him, despite what I might say now.

Regardless, I'm a B. But then I'm a B on just about every signing we make so it doesn't mean an awful lot.

Basically I get annoyed when people initially back NP's signings, then when the player has a bad run of form the same posters claim they didn't agree with the signing originally.
Everyone can still be critical of Waghorn if he fails, but they can't claim they knew better than the manager unless they pick 'A'.
Anyway it's a bit arbitrary really because I think quite a few people won't commit themselves because they want to reserve the right to claim 'superior wisdom' later.

I'm not making a choice, for me the kid is a good player, if it doesn't work out for him it's not because of his talent. I'm a bit sad that certain people take joy in players failing though or wanting them to fail, thats not supporting your team, sorry.

I think some people want NP's signings to fail an excuse to have a dig at him. I personally wouldn't call them supporters.

it still did not stop the doom and gloom merchants leaving after the game. many are far to quick to judge which was the point i was making in my original post. i do think Waghorn could be very similar to Campbell as they share similar pace levels. IMO< NP should put MW on the bench on saturday and give him 30mins at the end. Interesting though.

    B. Good young player. Knows NP and played in a very productive strike partnership with Matty fryatt at leicester so knows how he plays. I think he will be v.good and bring better out of fryatt

Goals for England showed a willingness to shoot and on target. If we just let him have a go I reckon he could bang a few in. Just don't have any expectations and anything is then a bonus!

Viking Erik? I don't see why anyone would have a problem with him.

Anyway, if you're looking for the biggest tosser, look no further than doveston.

I was referring to OLM's quote of Perry, when KK mentioned Eric......I've no problem with Erik, but Doveston? He's really objectionable (and stupid, too)

Close, but Doveston for me. Perhaps we could have a Tosser of the Year award (ToY).

Percy could get the junior Tosser in Training award (TiT).

To be fair to the people who have already put down their opinion without the opportunity to see Waghorn play (A,B or C), I think any further choices should be in before kick off on Saturday.
