He is prone to the odd bizarre decision but his reaction after the home leg against Ajax was telling. He openly admitted that starting with 3 at the back against such an energetic, fluid side was suicide and that ironically it was only Vertonghen's unexpected substitution that swung the balance of the game. We never looked like scoring in that match without Son or Kane but Ajax could and should have been home and hosed by the time Goat came on and we reverted to a back 4. They weren't. We shut them out for the rest of the game and went to Amsterdam still in the tie. Although what followed in said tie was nuts.

I personally thought sissoko played well but in both games Ajax faded. after 60mins in both games spurs were in control.
the sub certainly changed the game but I felt Ajax still had the chances.
at half time in Amsterdam you were toast.
you finished stronger and got the goals.
They didn't fade. They had no idea how to manage and close out a game. Their inexperienced showed in both legs. In the first for not killing us off before Goat came on. And in the second for not killing the game off after HT. Even at 2-1, more experienced teams know how to shut it down without panicking. Even at 2-2 they were desperately chasing a 3rd goal and had players out of position all over the place.
Our line up for the last 10 minutes in Dam was basically:
Hugo
Sissoko Davies
Toby Son Eriksen Jan
Alli Lucas Llorente Lamela
And they allowed themselves to be dragged out of shape for it. Ziyech was their only player still doing his job in the latter stages.

Are you really a Pool supporter? Seems to me you are determined to make Liverpool fans look foolish and I wonder why that is. As a veteran of 4 days here my advice would be to wind your neck in a little. Take your cue from proper fan responses like this....

For a Liverpool fan, you certainly have a firm fixed dislike of us, whereas most, in my experience really only think about Utd, City and Everton in that way. Usually hard pressed to get an opinion of us at all. You I take it are an all purpose hater?
