Have to say that next week's game away to west Brom is arguably our hardest game left. Could do with Lallana and Henderson back in training for the run in but as long as the Brazilian lads stay fit....and start....we will be in with a shout. Points in the bag matter a lot right now....
I think a bet on at least 3 headed goals next week could be a good safe bet :)

Jesus Christ almighty do you fecking lot ever cheer up?

I haven't visited since the FA Cup but the comments haven't changed much since then anyway. You were moaning like a good un' then about not having any strength in depth and the World was about to come crashing down. Now you are still in the mix to be playing Barcelona next season and still you ain't happy. Note to subscribers.......your not first pick bunch turned your game today. Perhaps they aren't as bad as you thought back then. Why do you care what the performance is like at this end of the season? It's points that win prizes not performances. I read back a few pages that if the performance was good then the chances of points are better. Have you learned nothing in all these years? No it isn't, it's winning no matter what. How many times have your team performed like champions only to lose a game? Plenty no doubt. To get where you want to go, i.e. Champion's League, you need points. You got them today so fecking rejoice and stop weeping into your scarf.

I'm watching you................:emoticon-0126-nerd:

So our expectations are higher than most? What's your point?

Talking of whining....

Once again BBC Salford ignore the Woodburn pen, the fact that Adam was offside when he headed the ball off Berahino and Migs pulled off his wonder save, and they didn't even show Oberannyfartin (sp) stooping down to palm the ball away when Studge was through. Would they have shown them the other way around had Stoke been on the receiving end? Is the head of BBC Salford a Clog-Sparker...

So my head is throbbing....not sure if it's sunburn or hangover after several beer garden beers....

Anyway, just watched the highlights.

Mignolet, take a bow son <applause>

Gini, nice assist today but wtf are you trying to do on the edge of your own box?? <doh>

Couthino is back in form, just when we need him <magic>

Firminho....what a cracker. <cracker> His movement is hard to mark and he creates so much space for others.....he has been battered on here, hopefully peeps can see how good he can be..

Klopp, get this f#cking squad sorted please <ok>

KENNY, I support Plymouth Argyle who have never, that is never been in the top flight. What fecking expectations would that be? My point is you have done very little for quite a while now and you are on the cusp of getting into the Champion's League. What have performances got to do with that?

Never wasted...you earned the meal rather than stole it lol....

Sounds good!

It was. I know F&B is a chain, but I really enjoy it. Only bettered by the Dormouse, a local pub with a beer garden where we eat outside as the sun sets. Close to the river with an orchard in the front and a horse field at the side. I walk the dog for a couple of hours and stop there for a beer and supper, and they bring a bowl of water out with a bone for the dog.

I'm working tomorrow and they're all going there for Sunday dinner. <wah>

Although I always say I want entertaining football, at this stage of the season I'll take the points any way we can get them.
I still think it's pretty simple though - the better you play, the more points you win.
This is the post in question sensiblegreeny........I agree with Saint here, the better you play, the more points you win <ok>

Think what we're whimpering about, Greeny, is that although we never expected to the win the league, after the December we had we should really have had top four sewn up by now, much as Spurs have, had we not imploded in January and insisted, even though we knew Mane was going away, Ings was long-term injured and Coutinho was missing for two months, that we didn't need to strengthen the squad, even with loans, in January.

And I now claim the longest ever sentence in Not 606 history. (You can now make a joke about Scousers and long prison sentences).

Well, the performance on Wednesday lost 2 points. The first half performance today was losing 3. That's what poor performances can do <ok>. Defensively we are sh*t. If we want top four, we need to stop being defensively sh*t. Just because we are in the top four now means nothing......we should be home and dry now but our poor performances against average teams have cost us dear.....so forgive some on here if we are critical when poor performances risk a top four finish.....am sure you'd be no different if you kept throwing a promotion or play-off position away. Not sure....absolutely positive that you would be. <ok>

That was probably me. :)
You're wrong - absolutely. Performances win games. "Good" is not synonymous with "pretty". A good performance is one that wins the game, unless you're desperately unlucky. I can only think of one game this season off the top of my head where we've deserved to win but haven't. Mostly, where we've dropped points we've deserved to - because the performances haven't been good enough.

I see Migs is getting rightful applause for his efforts today <applause>

I can't believe there are still those who think we need to address this position, he's been consistent for months.

Karius will get his chance again at some point

Migs has been good. Just needs to distribute the ball better....
