So, in an absolute **** relegation threatened team, when they actually passed the ball to him he became unplayable and saved them?

They played to his strengths to be fair and can't complain about that or mock Benteke for it.

Hes like Carroll. You need to play to his strengths and if you do, he's in playable.

i was actually keen to sign him although the amount was a bit high, 25m would have been more suitable. I thought he would offer more than just a target man and he still might, he might be able to adapt given time, just depends if he'll get enough time to do it.

No no doubt that if you get the ball in the box and don't expect him to press and run the channels then the guy is good for 20 goals a season. He just won't create more than 5 a season, so depends what you need for your team.

Better just ignore his 1 in 2 record and injuries and such and just blame him for the same woes we had before he arrived.

Carroll is not as good as benteke. The fact is carroll was here first so gets trotted out where even a superficial analysis of both players would tell you there's are large differences.

In terms of performances for us, not too dissimilar but Carroll had more impact (although obviously had far longer with us to make that impact).

He also had players who could spot and execute a pass, (or maybe just trusted their team mates that the manager picked) :emoticon-0100-smile

Carroll had shag all impact really. He was injured when he arrived.

However I really must take issue with this.

Andy carroll played 7 games in first season with us scoring 2 goals. Dalglish played him loads in second season where he played 35 games scoring a whole 4 goals... his best impact was in fa cup run that year with a further 4 goals.

Rodgers binned him then

A total of 58 games and 11 goals.

5 of those goals are cup goals....... one v Exeter btw...

Benteke has already 7 goals this year no?

So how the **** has carroll more impact <laugh>

Just say "I don't like benteke". Don't make **** up.

Not all about goals, also performance wise..

At least Carroll looked like he put some effort in at times <ok>

Nearly single handidly won us the FA Cup... after getting us through the semi v Everton

That's a little rich. If you'd have said senior-final and final then yeah, but where was he for the other games? [HASHTAG]#singlehandedly[/HASHTAG]
