Well we gave them a goal start just to wind up the Berties on Bluemoon and still won the game.
Awesome performance, once we shook off the shock of the opening goal. Cant criticise anyone on today performance. Could of, should of, scored more, but that 4 of the big six out of the way; 3 wins 1 draw..

No, as I agree that it is (and was) a penalty. Harsh, but them's the rules. Aurier did superbly to recover on Mane's run and pace, but then took too long to clear.

Hendo just mentioned it (VVD on Lamela) in his interview

Funny how real time comments fail to mirror the actual game. We have been unlucky. Good chances created so I have no doubt we will come on strong second half. Only change would be anyone for Henderson as defensively he is struggling.
Sorry - mine been quite negative but I was only getting snap shots :(
I get annoyed easier when I can’t watch game it so much harder getting snapshots
Sounded like it was gonna just be one of those days :)

Oh yeah...

Same as against Man Utd, we spent ages celebrating the equaliser rather than getting the ball. So ****ing frustrating! They should be grabbing the ball, they should be eager to get on with it and they should want to win the bloody game rather than celebrate ffs

However, I will say that personal emotion probably overruled with it being Hendo; his first goal for four years & the amount of **** he gets from fans. Still can't accept it though, as captain, he should be leading by example... GETTING THE ****ING BALL AND SHOW A WINNING DESIRE!!!!!

I haven’t seen it but if was like yours it wasn’t a pen - defo
That said apparently it all evens itself out :)

Aurier didn't need to make the challenge but he did and gave the ref (& VAR) a decision to make. He should have dealt with it before it even got to that stage tbf

At one point you'd be forgiven for thinking that, as Gazzaniga stopped everything that came his way for a time.
21 shots and 13 on target tells its own story.

Sounds like far the first 15 minutes we were all over them and probably should have had 3/4 by the end of it.

away at united and home to spurs. Looking at table disappointing to ‘only’ come away with 4 points but I think that’s a top effort especially after the international break.

kept the distance to city with them being our next home game, keep the gap until then and it’s a bit of a freebie. They will be the ones that have to win. A draw for them does nothing

Phew! Really needed those 3 points, and it was overall a good performance and it should have been more.

Fabinho is my MOTM - monstrous performance, followed by Trent.

Let’s hope Salah isn’t injured too badly.

Trent was much better in the second half. I'd agree with Fabinho being MOTM for us but despite being in the losing side, I'd give it Gazzinga overall, he kept the in it. We could have easily win by three or four otherwise

My old man was screaming for him to boot it, but that was very sensible game management there. Just see it out with us in possession
He and I would get on...
Seriously, it was the sensible thing to do to keep hold of it - but with a few seconds left and Gazza scampering back, I'd have just had to go for it. :)

it was written in the stars that their backup keeper would turn into prime Buffon at anfield.
