This was irritating me. Kane does well to direct the header into the empty half of the goal but the ball came straight to him so it wasn't a major problem. Its just because its old 'arry.
Even the well struck Trent shot was a 'good height' and was by no means a full stretch to save. Keeper had a fine game mind.
I was delighted with Salah's penalty. What he did was completely unexpected, not surprised the keeper remained flat footed.
Salah never fills me with confidence taking penalties. Always worries me when Milner isnt on the pitch.
He's fired a fair few down the middle. I always worry when he steps up tbh, he seems more of a hit hard and hope kinda player than Milner who fires them to a corner.
I did wonder who was going to take it with Milner being number one and not on the pitch. Mane has taken some but if you have the confidence like Salah has, it's more than likely going in.
Good stuff this is..........Neil Atkinson puts forward the view that we are watching the best Liverpool team we will ever watch.
I thought Gazzaniga had a good game - not a worldie, but decent. If it had been Alisson making those saves we'd have been happy. Apart from the pen, where he just seemed to freeze and couldn't make up his mind which way to go. I agree that Mo's pens aren't great. Milner is the best, but he has limited game time - surely there's someone else in the team who can take a decent one?
Apparently he’s scored 9 out of 10 in his professional career, I agree they don’t look convincing but they hit the back of the net so I say keep going (unless Milner is on the pitch of course)
Beating the top six - the best of the stats Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 10 Premier League games when conceding the first goal at Anfield (W7, D3), winning each of the last six. Tottenham are without a win in their last 11 Premier League away games (D2 L9), and last endured a longer run between May 2000-January 2001 under George Graham (14 games). There have been 23 penalties in Premier League fixtures between Liverpool and Tottenham, two more than any other fixture in the competition. Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 20 Premier League games against 'big six' opponents at Anfield since a 1-0 defeat by Man Utd in January 2016 (W12, D8), winning their last six in a row. Gazzaniga made 12 saves in the Anfield defeat, the most by a goalkeeper in the Premier League since David de Gea versus Arsenal in December 2017 (14). Henderson scored his first Premier League goal at Anfield since he netted against West Brom back in December 2015, 1414 days ago. Serge Aurier has conceded four penalties in 48 games in all competitions since his Tottenham debut in September 2017; no Premier League player has given away more. Kane's first-minute opener for Spurs was his 150th goal involvement in the Premier League in his 191st appearance in the competition (131 goals, 19
