that's all relatively recent.

salah for 36mil or whatever...

we've paid huge money for vvd and alisson. the fact that the performances show the money was well spent is a good thing.

Alisson no bargain but so far worth it.
taa the ultimate bargain as hg.
gomez. absolute steal.
vvd. huge fee but worth it
Robertson. absolute bargain
wijnaldum. nobody get his buy but at 25 mil now looks a steal
Milner huge bargain shat upon constantly.by Jimmy too.
kieta. huge fee, only settling in.
mane. bargain.
firmino. raised eyebrows at time. klopps has made him a player.
salah massive bargain.

now... there's huge money gone into that side. 280odd mil.

they are all part of a team. no one player is indispensable and no one player is unneeded.

we are fortunate indeed that fsg hired klopp. after several false starts they appointed someone who knows what he is at.

Also how good was Gomez at LCB after VVD left? At 21 and 3.5 mil, he is probably better value for money than Robbo

I’m so happy with Gomez. It was premature but I had half written off after a couple of serious injuries, and some underwhelming performances at right back.

But he’s come back and not only has he slotted in, he’s been quality both defensively and on the ball. His passing and ability to carry the ball into midfield is another way for us to create chances.

Our front 3 can create for fun, our full backs mauraude up and down the flanks, our centre backs are almost like playmakers and our keeper is one of the best passers in our team! Not only that, we have equal ability on both flanks.

And our midfield is creating and defending well even without our two new players.
