Ok, why would you rest Allison?
To give him a rest?
What if he got injured before we play City and Mignolet had to come in? Genuinely, does Mignolet actually play
any football now or is he just training and sitting on the bench whenever we play?

Best rest Allison for the City game in case he gets injured for arsenal.

Although best rest his for that one in case he gets injured for the rest of the season or the CL games.

Lets just hold him back for the CL final.

Keeper doesn’t need resting, especislly not in car he gets injured. Difference between outfield players needing a rest because they get fatigued. Wasn’t it Paul Robinson or Brad Friedel that played 200+ games in a row for the record or someththibg? Keepers don’t need resting.

YES

if you could remember winning one I expect you'd remember why winning one is far better than meekly outing out each year.

I'd dearly love a pot this year.

I doubt there is anybody who wouldn't want to win a cup regardless of which one.

The problem is we do not have the squad to compete in 3 competitions. So players are managed accordingly, our first 11 is very strong, but it can't play every game.

It's not throwing a competition to play a different line up, it's management of players through out the year.

that is untrue.

mental fatigue is very real as your focus has to be 100% for 90 mins.

players mentioned didn't actually play at highest levels.

when every mistake you make is analysed for days your levels have to be so so high.

let the odd one go... just like Jordan pickford I suppose.

You lot must be quaking in your boots. You must be absolutely petrified. The mighty Toon coming to town to partake in an attacking extravaganza featuring the strike force of dreams Rondón and Perez with the Mighty Jos sitting waiting to come on and end any title dreams.

Fancy just conceding now and accepting a 3-0 loss from the powers to be?

To be honest we should win something this season. It is ok for everyone pundits, fans media to say we’ve got one of the top 2 best teams (if not the best). We have to win something. An FA cup will do nicely. If we leave empty handed, coming second is not much better than coming 4th like last season.

Even Mourinho who has generally been seen to be a massive failure won 2 major trophies in less than 3 years. Klopp himself would want to put his seal on a great Liverpool tenure. He can only do that by winning something. Everyone will want the title but if not then a Cup.

The draw for the cup has to be kind, home draws against lower league opposition as much as possible.

Until you get to the semis, there is always going to be a bigger game on the horizon that you could do with resting players for.

Its the way of the world now, the domestic cups mean very little to the club and players, no one is joining a team because they are fa cup winners. The prize money is not significant enough to make a difference.
