Salah just did what pretty much all players will do in the box under similar circumstances, it's endemic in the game now and part of it, shouldn't be condoned but can't be blasted for it either
Very good 3 points as predicted. Easy win. With City losing and now 7 (SEVEN) points behind us, the title is really ours to lose as many others have intimated here. If we beat City, which is realistic as their defence is so insecure, they will be 10 points behind. Even if there are many matches to play I cannot see them making up that gap. Spurs are on a crest of a wave but they tend to drop points near the end of the season. I don’t think we’ve ever been in such a good position in the premiership.
dunno where the spurs tend to do x or y comes from. they've imploded when up against Leicester yes but last season they did the exact opposite.
They deffo do. which newkie lad threw the arms out thinking he was getting a free on that shaqiri goal? every time they turn their backs and flop over at the least contact imo the game dies a little bit
Well f#ck a duck. Had the in laws around today....Sky sports on in the other room, much to the Mrs delight! Can't believe City dropped more points today. Next two games define the season. Everything can change in a couple of games.
It was 100% stonewall penalty!! Whether salah goes down or not ! Dummet was foolish enough to pull him by the arm and salah said thankyou very much. You can guarantee the vegetables saying it's not a penalty would be on here arguing it was if it was there side awarded the penalty.. Speak the truth it's easier! Consistency is key.
our side was awarded it... its a dive and if var was in effect i reckon ref would have booked him after
agree that Salah went down easy ( as most others do) but don't see how ref can book him as there was that pull on him that could have caused him to fall, no way to prove that it didn't.
If he didn't touch him I'd agree but you can't lull a player by the arm like dumbnut did . Salah went down I remember calling him a little **** to myself but it's still a foul. Ps you arnt a vegetable
Today's penalty proves #bentasfuck refs are against us. Obviously they're going to give us nothing at all against Arsenal. So today was their very last chance to avoid going the entire calendar year without awarding us a home penalty, which would have #exposed their blatant bias. The ref was clearly under instruction to take any opportunity to cover PGMOL's tracks by giving a meaningless penalty which had zero influence on the game. Today's conditions were also perfect with Milner not playing and so the chance of conversion was as low as possible. Plus Salah being the one who went down will enable them to try to derail his season by turning down the next 14 #nailedon penalties against him. Each time #bbcsalford will say "but what about the slightly soft penalty against Newcastle..." We're top of the league playing against 20 other teams in this league.
This is the difference between big and small clubs. If you're a big club receiving soft penalties can be a negative later on in the season.. If you're a small club even if you get a soft penalty you usually still lose and there's no future reprocusion
I would hold off the whole it's ours to lose crap until we have played Arsenal and city. Our lead could quite easily be reduced or down to nothing then
