Disappointing game.

United already depleted losing 3 more to injury first half didn’t help, and then playing with a clearly injured Rashford for all of the second.

They were there for the taking & you never really looked like taking advantage. Too many long balls trying to get in behind that either didn’t have the quality or the runners.

We have a good run in and pure and simple now we need to go on a run, similar to the form we showed at the start of the season. Hook or by crook, just collect the points. At this stage, it is a fight and I'm just happy to be in it when really this City team should be out of sight on paper, we are having a great season recent performances aside. The team need to band together and fight for it now.

Basically this season will just peter out like a firework that got wet. We were all excited as the wick burned down but then it just went phhhhhfffffffff..... and never even left ground.

You have to be willing to get on ball and take the right risks, to show urgency and pass it fast.

We will get overtaken then at end of season wonder how did we end up 3rd...

1. Playing safe.

2. Not willing to take any risk

3. Safe ball, or sloppy pass behind team mate, or worse just hoof it long hoping.

At this rate we might have to settle for a CL

Well that was all a bit crap. For all the criticism of the MF ( i personally include Fab in that ) & Milner i thought the biggest waste of an obvious opportunity was Mane. I said pre game we should target Young and that weakness was obvious from the first minutes but he was then given an easy afternoon. Mane should have stayed wide then ran at him but that barely happened all game.
On the subs if you are replacing Firm with another CF i would have picked Origi if only because we kept chucking high balls in the box for some godforsaken reason. He could also swop to the wings & use his height against Young or Shaw.

I thought we put a lot of effort into the cl game
Not getting beaten today was important
If someone had said at start of season by round 27 you will be too by one point we all take it

For some reason some of you think that this is going to be easy
It’s never easy
Never will be
Last season we collapse in that atmosphere
Mugs would not have stopped lingard
We have 11 cup finals now
We must win them all
There are no gimmes in this league for us
In 77 days this is all but over
Come on Liverpool
Top of league
Do the business and we can’t be caught
We have Some tough games left but we can win them

For me the backup/bench options aren't good enough to make an impact when asked to start or come on, especially in the forward line. If you count Shaq as Mid, then that leaves Origi and Sturridge, both of whom need to be sold/released this summer.
On top of that none of the midfielders are the type that will make something happen, they're all solid workhorses (except Shaq).

Need to find creative players for this type of games in the summer (along with some cover fullbacks that can cross)
