Mane plays on the edge. Maybe it adds to his game but the sending off was the turning point of the match. He will have to learn that a kick that endangers/does not into account the safety of the opponent, whether premeditated or not will be deemed dangerous play and will lead to a red card. His foot was high and made contact with Ederson's face.

Harsh for us but ultimately the correct decision. We will need to learn lessons from this game.

The rebuild continues. Klopp was getting too comfy with a lot of the old guard (that were never good enough under BRod anyway)

So.. from feast to famine for Liverpool. Honestly it's hard to look past the Manchester Clubs for the title this season. Chelsea will be outsiders.

Bad loss, worst in a while, but it can happen.. Not going to go overboard with criticism, as long as there is a positive reaction and this is a one off.

There's a few people blowing this out of proportion imo.

The game ended with the red.

Salah showed that he needs to work on finishing.

Players heads dropped but what do you expect when it was vs 10 men

It's weird...im not as bothered about this or scoreline after sending off (Not debating right or wrong etc) and who we faced.

Felt worse getting beat and drawing last year with bottom 3 teams...

Pretty much the same, with our record with klopp vs top 6 we were due a loss, we were well in it until the red then everything after that was a shambles but we dish out these tonkins more than we receive. As I say, as a one off this can be forgotten.

Dire performance, irrespective of red card.
It doesn't matter if the red card was deserved or not (was probably right call), it was given and that should not be the talking point. The talking points should be:

1) Team bottled it as soon as our best player was dismissed. This is why Henderson is not captain material.
2) Klopp conceded defeat at half time by taking the only counter attack outlet off. Today's match was always going to see our midfield outclassed by City's. It was the strike force that could have made the difference and Klopp decided to try to win the midfield battle and try damage limitation. This team cannot defend!
3) Klopp's heavy metal, full press football obviously suffers with only 10 men. He had no plan B (see above)

Game over with the sending off
Was fairly even up to then so it's hard to judge a game ruined as a competition with an hour to play
City are probably the team you don't want to be a player down to

Up until the goal. I didn't think you threatened tbh. Then when the red came it just destroyed the game.

The red card was unfortunate as it ruined the game for me. However I think it has to be a red card, even though it was accidental. Wether you are going for the ball or not, you have to be aware of what is around you.

Hard really to judge the game after that, as Liverpool had no outlet after that, and could barely get out of their own half.

Exactly.
Our only hope was to outplay you in attack. Once that chance had gone we were never going to shape up in an attack v defence game.
Like a few others on here, I'm not too gutted given the circumstances.
