I'm not really - I just think that the belief that it's a foregone conclusion is daft. Just because Leicester are playing badly doesn't mean they aren't capable of doing better. If the players show the same dismissive attitude as some fans have then they/we could be in for a shock. This sort of upset has happened too many times for us to take it lightly.
At some point we started turning up with the mentality of we are Liverpool this will be easy. That was never the case the successful teams of days gone by fought for everything regardless of the opposition. It seems at times we are still doing this, we turn up for the big games then think the smaller games will be easy. Regardless of signings or tactics we need to change players mentality.
I didn't Never do me In fact i bet we have lost/drawn to a club bottom of the table more times than any of our rivals over the past 20 years It seems to be the perfect storm for us If a team is bottom and playing us u can almost be sure we will lose or draw
Mentality is a part but I think we just neee better players. Defence is crap regardless and the midfield is only good when the opposition play higher to allow our attackers to win the ball in dangerous areas. We need a midfield that play brave passes against deep defences.
It seemed that some players believe their own hype and that all they needed to do was to turn up. The result will just happen. Well it doesn't work like that. If the attitude is wrong, and the opposition has not conceded within the first 30 minutes, they will get encouragement and defend like hell for the whole 90 minutes. However getting back to Leicester. I can't see Ranieri being pragmatic enough and playing a completely defensive game. Big Sam, Pulis might do it but Ranieri is not realistic and brave enough to do that at home. We'll beat them comfortably. Ranieri will pay the price for going for 3 points. If he's not careful the goals conceded might come back to haunt him as their awful GD might play a key part in their relegation.
This is game is not to be easy, as Claudio Ranieri do not want lose six in a row. Losing to Liverpool can make Leicester drop into bottom three. Sunderland away to Everton, I am not sure they are going to get anything from that. Crystal Palace home to Middlesbrough , big Sam would like a win. Hull home to Burnley, very tight in the bottom. Leicester 21 points Hull 20 points Crystal Palace 19 points Sunderland 19 points.
Leicester play champions league on the Wednesday before this game, bit gutted we don't play until the Monday, gives them the best part of a weeks rest.
Yeah, but they're in ****ing pieces at the mo with Sevilla to come and then us. And we would of had two weeks rest. Don't see them getting much down in Seville, Sevilla are a very good side.
Liverpool of old never took any team for granted. They won many games 1:0,meaning that oppositions are not walk over .How many games we won 1:0 this season?.Playing Leicester next, it's a game neither Leicester or Liverpool wants to lose.Leicester are close to relegation zone, the positions Swansea and Hull were when we played them.We lost both.
Of course we'll bloody lose. We're playing a team in the bottom half of the table. That's what we do.
There is absolutely no way we could lose against the shambles that Leicester currently are. No morale to speak of and their manager has totally lost it. If we even draw that match, that will be 2 points dropped. Hull Swansea Palace and Sunderland are a different proposition. The irony is and a good thing for us is Leicester might even beat Sevilla and go through to the next round. For me, they've gone in the premiership and a dead cert for relegation.
Really starting to wonder if you do this deliberately, anyone can lose to anyone in this league. Those players can turn it around. They hammered City and its at their ground. Make no bones, Leicester WILL turn up for this game reagrdless of other results. My worry is we will be half baked due to long break. Our own attitude will decide this game, not Leicester's draw probable result for me. As usual expect a loss, but hope for the win
