Will you be saying same thing if it wins major trophies?

I enjoy us demolishing teams but it hasn't won us anything yet.

Enjoy us wining trophies more.
We've had this debate so often on here. Why are the two things mutually exclusive?
Of course I want us to win, but I want us to do it in a pleasing manner. I don't want to sit through endless tedium just to look at the table now and again.

Well so far they are sadly.

This season we have been poor so far but in touch for title.

Last season we was ripping teams apart but too far off pace.

Shhhhh

Don't tell the ones that only want to be entertained :bandit:

I get the argument, but to win things you need to be ruthless and boring in games sometimes or disciplined.

To win things you have to first win games. Winning them comfortably is second on the list.

However, my argument wouldn't be about winning things. I'd rather watch entertaining football then a side set-up to get a 1-0 win. If that means winning ****all, so be it.

Fortunately, it's not one or the other anyway. We can do both :)

As always Saint, we're in agreement on this. People seem to forget that it's suppose to be entertaining.
People also seem to forget to succeed and progress you need to win things.

Being entertaining only gets you so far for so long sadly before you can't get the players you want.

Football wouldn't exist as it does today of it wasn't entertaining. There is a reason cricket struggles for numbers!

The last game I went to was when Hodgson was manager and we draw 0-0 with fulham at home ( april 2010) now that was dross and boring!!!!.

When he became manager he promised to turn doubters to believers (October 2015)
He promised to deliver the league in four years. In fact in his first season Liverpool were in the final of league cup and Europa league. Liverpool lost
both. That season Leicester won the league. We are believers and we want the league to be delivered asp.

He was auditioning for a future role to manage them <laugh>

TV rights

And why did tv companies buy the rights? Because they knew they could make money from the fans love for the game.

Why do fans love the game? Because they liked football.

Why do fans like football? Because it's entertaining! They don't watch football because it's boring!

Must be for all the exciting games like huddlesfield v Fulham lol.

It's because a lot of fans all over the world get a chance to watch their team who can't make the game and watch it in their own house etc. Nothing to do with entertainment, although you do get some that are.

It's supply and demand not entertainment.

If people had found football boring, there would never have been the demand in the first place.
