Then I bow to your wisdom. Three years ago, before the Brazil WC, I said he was the the best English midfiielder since Scholes, and possibly Gascoigne. Kiss of death, obviously. He's turned into a shaven-headed version of Joey Barton, truth be told, and is on a trajectory to be the new Robbie savage.

No, I didn't see that coming at all, so I defer to your sagacity.

Same. I thought England should be building midfield around him a few years ago. Think he had that brilliant season a year or two ago where was scoring and assisting, possibly when city were linked with him?

Seems to really have stagnated since then though. Still has the attributes just doesn't seem to be able to put it all together. Few pundits said earlier in season maybe he needs a move away from being the local lad hero and just be another player in the team for the pressure to come off and he step up again though.

What do you mean by decided to TURN nasty? Barkley got away with a shocking tackle in the first couple of minutes, dont even get me started on the one he was eventually booked for. Shytehouse of the highest order!

He's crap. Not good enough for a CL team. But then, Everton aren't a CL team. So he fits [HASHTAG]#snide[/HASHTAG] Koeman but will be dumped if Everton ever decide to get a proper footballing manager.

They was brought up in diferent era where you was allowed to tackle.

The game has changed esp with mega money in it and it's practically a no contact sport nowdays.

The days of Gerrard Keane and viera are long gone. He should know this and be told to calm down a bit.

Yeah, funny to see one of them giving it loads about the Coleman Jibes but justifying giving Gerrard's children down the banks in previous derby games.

Not included the cards which were 1-3. And 3 yellows is generous to you considering definitely should have been 1 red and possibly 2.

Context in terms of what those fouls were
