Not a bad first game back. Would have liked all the points obviously but at any stage in any season regardless of form, a draw is usually the expected outcome of this fixture. More importantly, are Everton players all living with hairdressers <laugh>

Our players aren't. Bobby and Trent have developed afros and Gomez is still to be told what a razor is!

We go toe to toe with you lot and it completely plays into your hands. We didn’t and left no space in behind. Coleman had Mane in his pocket and you created absolutely nothing of note. We could have done better on the counter and were wasteful when he had the ball on plenty of occasions, but with the side he could put out, that was a solid performance and a decent point. To suggest it’s somehow an insult to our heritage is abject nonsense, sorry.
Possibly anti-climactic, but it was a heap of runny dogshit, that game <doh>

I just don’t understand how Lovren has lasted at this club for so long. He was never good in the first place, and even his ‘top’ form is well below acceptable standards

Thankfully, he along with Clyne and Lallana will be off this summer and will free up valuable funds

Bit harsh on Clyney and La la land that ... they've not set the world alight but they've given decent service, as opposed to Lovren whose main task since he arrived at Anfield has seemingly been to find the quickest and most watery way to sink our defence anytime he's near it

As did Davies on Mane. The referee waived play on as we had possession, then never went back and booked him. It was the worst foul of the day - an orange.
He was quick enough to show Digne a yellow and give you a free kick on the edge of our box, for him having the temerity to cleanly win the ball. Absolute shocker that one.

Yes, I quoted that one further down the thread, and PJ was replying to it. The bookings of Milner and Digne were gash, as were the non-bookings of Fabinho and Davies.

Ultimately is anyone that bothered. Its been 3 months, the players are clearly not fully fit and have lost sharpness. I'm glad football is back, but it feels a bit pre season like.

Thought we controlled the game in the most part with some poor decision making a touches making the difference to not scoring. Everton as per Ancelotti sat back and absorbed which worked until Lovren came on.

pffft, looked bad, but Mane was jumping out of it. He stayed in it and he smashes davies.

First game watched only because it was with Everton involved. Had zero motivation to watch, best part was the final whistle.

He didn't win the ball at all. He lightly touched the ball, making no impact on Mané's control and ability to keep running, so then took him out with the follow through.

Oh do **** off. He took the ball as clean as a whistle.
