Seen as how i am always pessimistic and po8nting out our potential to fall...
But this highlights how crazy it is this year, on Monday evening City could find themselves in 5th having only lost one game potentially
That is madness !!!! 10 games in definately 5 in this !
No slips up can be made
Arsenal is going to be a very very tough game

Missed the game as I was at work, but looking at Shaqiri's quotes it seems like Klopp is allowing him to play in a way that plays to his strengths and doesn't expose his weaknesses the way that Stoke did.

it will be but there is a much harder group of games coming at christmas all in a row so we need as many points now as possible.

it even get 4th right now no slip ups are.possible.

any side having a 3 or 4 game dry spell will be out of it.

Gez will be upset. Shaqiri showing that you don’t have to run around non stop like a headless chicken to get into this team.

Talent > Running

actually jimmy you'll find Shaq was the only guy who was running when he came on. we was busy and worked hard but intelligently.

I didn't see lallana do much of it at all.

nor btw firmino who's playing awful

Lallana looks shot, he wasn't exactly quick before but he looks miles off the pace. You've got the injury to consider , but I get the feeling hes done.

When Shaq came on he did everything lallana didn't, hustling opponents good energy and a end product.

From what I saw (the old man called round ten minutes in so only had one eye on the tv), most played okay. I don't think we were outstanding but we did the job needed.

Firmino was much better imo, he worked harder and got on the ball much more. A few stray passes but at least he was trying to make things happen.

Lallana is nothing like the player he was pre- injury. Takes time to come back but good god, he needs to stop giving the ball away so easily.

Moreno tried hard, perhaps too hard at times. Fancy spins on the ball in dangerous areas ffs.

Mane and Salah bagging again can't hurt.

Finally conceded (softly) at Anfield, not such a bad thing imo as it takes the monkey away.

Haha.

In all seriousness, Shaq should be playing in these games. Has the creativity to unlock these **** teams

Said this after midweek. In game where we are dominating possession, shaq in midfield works perfectly fine. It’s how he does, or what we do against bigger teams as it would be a big ask to play him in a midfiekd 3 there.

He's worked as hard as anyone in the games I've seen him. In case you didn't know, he outrun a lot of our players last season too.

It's not work rate over talent...

It's not talent over work rate...

It's talent AND work rate required. If either is missing, they ain't good enough!

What i learnt from that game...

Play Shaq as an 8 drifting into a 10.

Play 2 behind him.... Fabinho, Gini, Hendo, Milner. Take your pick.

We'll then have Shaq, Salah, Mane, and Firmino as serious offensive players, and have enough behind them to control nost games.
