Depends when the fourteen day started. It was announced yesterday and if that's the guest day then your right. Could be that we were told immediately though. And yeah, if he's ill from it then it could be longer.

I was responding to a comment, at this moment in time, he's not ruled out the derby.

 

As players go in our squad, I would put Sadio at the top of the list of players who didn't need to train with them team. As long as the illness doesn't knock him back that is. Thiago should be back too

 

I would put money on someone else in the squad being next though.

 

Obviously it's not good news that Mane is out but I take the positive that Jota will get a run of games now.

You only have to self isolate for 14 days if you have symptoms isn’t it? If you have tested positive I thought was only 7 days but also they’ll keep testing him in each round of testing so could come back clean in a weeks time anyway

 

Mane only has to self isolate for 10 days as he has tested positive so he will be available for the Derby


Self-isolate for at least 10 days
You must self-isolate for at least 10 days if:

• you have symptoms of coronavirus and you tested positive, had an unclear result or did not have a test
• you tested positive but have not had symptoms

If you have symptoms, the 10 days starts from when they started.

If you have not had symptoms, the 10 days starts from when you had the test. But if you get symptoms after your test, self-isolate for a further 10 days from when your symptoms start.

Stop self-isolating after 10 days if you feel OK
You can stop self-isolating after 10 days if either:

• you do not have any symptoms
• you just have a cough or changes to your sense of smell or taste – these can last for weeks after the infection has gone

I was going to say it earlier but couldn't be arsed with the inevitable argument that world follow. The ruling was only changed a few days ago. Something to do with only being contagious if you show symptoms.

PS... discussed it yesterday at work. We stuck to fourteen days for all cases to be on the safe side

 

i thought it had been that for ages tbh but the legal requirement is new .
