What an investment. To think that opposition fans were ridiculing us for spending so much on him. We’d better be careful, Harry Maguire might win it next year :bandit:<whistle>

No. It's the UEFA men's player of the year. The Ballon D'or is awarded by FIFA. However if Luka Modric is anything to go by who was named UEFA men's player of the year last year. Then Virgil will win the B'allon D'or too. He will be named world player of the year.

According to Camelhead aka Rio Ferdinand the man that got banned for 8 months for 'forgetting to piss' Virgil didn't deserve it because Messi did. Did the drug addict say the same thing when Modric who deservedly won it last year? ****ing anti Liverpool by that drug infested clown. He's as much a drug addict as Merson. Everyone knows he's on the funny ***s.

Did you see his tweet. Ole's at the wheel, great innit man. Guess he wished he never said that. He's more than a dickhead. He's a C U NEXT TUESDAY. A bigger one that than those ****ers Denis Irwin and Bobby Charlton.

Virgil van Dijk agrees new Liverpool contract

Virgil van Dijk has agreed his massive new contract with Liverpool.

European Footballer of the Year Van Dijk has committed the best years of his career to the Anfield club after the final details on the near-six-year deal were finally sealed last week.

Negotiations over improved terms had been ongoing during the summer, but sources in Holland have confirmed that the centre-half will be staying on Merseyside after the two sides successfully concluded talks.

Van Dijk’s current deal was not due to expire until 2023 after his switch from Southampton for £75m just 20 months ago.

But the fresh terms will give him a considerable uplift on the £125,000-a-week basic he secured when moving from the south coast club, pushing him nearer to £200,000-a-week and tie him to the six-time European Cup winners until 2025.
