I hate the ####s that make up these viruses, Why? A few years back i had a virus that went on my PC and basically wiped out all the pictures/files/documents and i lost family pictures and some of friends that are no longer with us. Couldn't care less about the PC but those pictures meant something to me and now they are gone. These ####s that make up viruses need to get a life. or break their hands when caught.
Always back up Ellers, I do a total backup once a week so Im ok even if I lose my hard drive.

I'd also say that it'd be a pretty lethal virus that could totally wipe your PC. All your pics/docs and files would've been stored on your hard drive and they'd probably be recoverable depending on what's been done to it since the infection. If you've still got the computer take it to somebody who knows what they're doing and they might have a chance at recovering your data.Obviously too late for you Ellers but a lesson here. BACK UP! Bang on ... On my macs i run a program called little snitch recently only because web technologies can be cunning. It is amazing to watch the attempted communications take place. It also allows me to determine how I talk to and when. I can guarantee you that Microsoft software runs better on a mac.
Flush your browser and reset it very day. Google chrome is without doubt the fastest at the moment but Apple's safari will win back that title by August. I am not a Mac freak... they are just machines but it's crap when they break down ... each and every case with be unique on a PC ...
Its mainly down to the operating systems and sorry but Windows has never been safe and won't be until re think the system ... The world was sold a dud ... pay the extra and enjoy a stress free life ... for just internet use is there a better device that an iPad?
Agreed. All browsers have an option to automatically clear your browsing data when you close them down, usually accessible via options/tools. #goodadvice

I must admit that my mate uses a Mac and he goes on any site and says in all the years he has never had a virus and that Mac's (dont get them or very rare). infact i don't think he uses any antivirus. Only thing is they cost £1000 and you can get a Dell for £300 now so i see why people opt for the cheaper.
As i said i am no 'tech' person but these Mac machines do get great feed back and seem to be safer.

Macs get virii now so now they are more vulnerable than windows machice because most mac owners are so ignorant that they think they cant get virii.
Even Apple recommend an AV.

The average windows machine is safer as they are protected.
i was on this site yesterday when kaspersky flashed up i had a problem. eventually found that it was scvhost.exe which slows the computer almost to a stop. it took the rest of the day to sort things out but my comp is steam driven. From what the powers that be are saying it must have been a coincidence that I was on here.
My Computer is once again riddled with viruses and this is the Site I use most (no adult sites anymore) . Its going so slow now that I'll probably have to get it fixed because my anti-virus software doesn't seem to be doing a damn thing to help me.
My story is repetitive. Buy Lap-Top, it crashes, I get it fixed. This happens a few times before I have to buy another one. Then I...............................................Buy Lap-Top, it crashes, I get it fixed..............................
Go to www.download.com, search for MalwareBytes, download it, install it and run it. Clears up 99% of Spyware/Adware/Malware/annoying little viruses trojans and it's free. I've got McAfee and it doesn't pick up everything. Due to the nature of spyware in general that is constantly evolving it's difficult for antivirus software to always keep up with them, so having a specialist program like MalwareBytes as well as your main AV is always a good idea.

It doesn't work like that Flyer any virus worth it's salt will drill deep into any peripheral you join to your system ... if its formatted for a PC then I expect you have a ghostbusters storage facility in your home
It can happen of course but as quick as they are manufactured which is harder! Apple release another security update .. I run as said Little Snitch just to keep an eye open but it hasn't yet and I would use any anti virus software as it slows down your computer with out doubt and I am used to the speed of a Mac pro. I would buy a second hand mac before a new PC because i need a easy life. Even a version of emulated windows runs better on a mac ... Its very easy try one then you never look back ... they are expensive for sure and they are a rip off maybe but you will have a machine that serves you well.
Think of a cheap dell being a Montego with a sloppy clutch .. would take the family on holiday to Italy and expect to be OK? A Mac is a merc ... they just work
