I know you're new, so I'll save you the flogging, but we generally put any transfer related stuff in the sticky transfers thread at the top of the page. Otherwise the board just gets cluttered up with threads. And you'll start getting sarcy comments from more experienced users.
ok sorry :)

Think this one has got legs, no rumour , the deal looks on

You seem to know a lot of French related stuff (guessing by your name you live out there?), would he be a good fit for us? I have limited knowledge of the Ligue 1, but I've seen him play for Lorient and he looked their best player by a country mile. Good penalty taker.

I think it deserves it's own thread tbh. Like with the Welbeck thread, it's a possible club record and is being reported by quite a few sources.

Yeah, he has only really took off last season, he is a decent player, only going to get better, he is the new
Adebayor

Interesting, there's been a few clubs sniffing around Andy Delort, including our friends at Leicester. Would he fit the bill here? Guessing he wouldn't be a bank breaker, as Charlton are also interested.

Is there anything in the French media about Aboubakar leaving?

Nothing as yet in the papers, we get a football paper 2 times a week called France Football, and L'Épique..

Story only just breaking tonight, Bein Sport has talked about it, like your Sky Sports News

Very well known future star in Ligue1 , Sporting Lisbon and Roma both interested as well Bein Sport are reporting

Thing that alarms me is his record before this year. but he is still young could be the new Eto (half as good will do)

£8m/£9m (reported fees) would be a big risk, hopefully Allam could negotiate a bit

Woah, I thought he was a Robertson-type signing. That's a lot of money.

All I know is he is amazing on Fifa 14.

This is a little bit of a gamble because Ligue 1 players don't always adapt first season round but overall this kid is going to be a beast. This is definitely a good purchase. Price seems fair considering season he has had.

I've scoured french media.

Yesterday they said Sporting Lisbon were after him. and the owner (who lives in London) has set the price at 10million euros .

Rumours that Benfica and Monaco are or have been interested.

I'm pretty sure that if he's good enough for them he should be for us no?

He does seem to be a similar style replacement to Long in the pace and work ethic, maybe a bit more prolific too. However I did see on twitter someone say he's poor at holding the ball up

£8m then, that is their asking price so could be room for negotiating.

He looks big, fast, strong with the touch of a rapist.

I'd be worried about spending £9m on him. Would sooner have just kept Shane Long.

Bruce knows better than I though and my opinion is mostly based on a couple of short YouTube clips.

Yeh, hopefully we can look at him for around £6 million, would be a bargain.

My only concern is him having one good season and them trying to cash in.

He's the kind of caliber of player I hope we're targeting at least. Young, up and coming, slight gamble. Not really interested in us going for some cheap "reliable" British player. We need someone exciting to push us even further.
