OK so only four games left and bar a disaster we cant finish lower than 9th. Its been a great season but I think its time to look to the future. Its clear our problem is converting our possession into goals so maybe its time to try something different at Villa Park.

We'll never get a better time to experiment so I'd try Rickie through the middle and give Gallager a start up front. We badly missed Jrods pace on the left so I'd give Sam Mcqueen a run. Villa badly need a win so will have to come at us so we can use the youngsters pace toi hit them on the counter.

I'm thinking that you shouldn't do the match thread, Lambie :) Stay well clear. I think after two losses, especially the home one against Cardiff, MP will put out his strongest side. He will be desperate for us to get back on the winning track. The trouble is that our strongest side is almost our only side. Any player turning up with his boots will get a game. Agree we should go with Clyne (Chambers not done much wrong, but need Clyne's experience), but not sure he will give McQueen a chance (in fact, I'm damn sure he won't).

You make a good ppoint about its our only side. Thats why we should experiment. We can't drop more than one place so why not.
 
I remember fondly going to Villa away last year. One of those games where we didn't deserve the win but got it thanks to a dodgy penalty. Did not enjoy the 2nd half however!
 
I think I would start Gaston and rest Lallana (on the bench) - Gaston needs more game time and can be replaced in the second half with a fresh Lallana.
 
Go with our strongest 11 and put some of the younger players on the bench. Bring them on when we are 4 up, so no pressure.

There is no pressure though. We cant drop more than one place so why not give them a start.Bring the big guns on if it doesnt work.
